Up for sale here is a very nice 1970 GS455 convertible with numbers matching except for a 12 bolt posi rearend. One of only 1040 ever produced.The car has factory air conditioning(rare on convertibles)converted to 134, It also has the ultra rare rear defogger, power steering, power brakes with aluminum drums. tilt wheel,deluxe interior with bench seat, repro tach and 15" ralleye wheels with BF Goodrich radials.Has original interior that is very nice but somewhat faded and the passenger seat has a seam that has seperated. No cracks in dash.AM/FM cassette works.Glass is all good.Under the hood looks very clean, correct and original except for headers and a Mallory electronic distributor and wires. Original distributor comes with car.Carb is professionally built high performance. Numbers matching carb comes with car.New correct Delco stamped power brake booster. new master cylinder, rebuilt OEM wiper motor and washer pump, new washer bottle, newer battery, starter and solenoid.Bumpers are shiny & straight. Stainless is all good.Top is pretty nice, but likely original and has a tear at the left rear.Suspension is tight, brakes work very well and stop straight.Has an oil leak, probably from the rear main seal.The paint is very nice, but up close it has some chips and scratches.The car runs very strong. I have a stack of receipts for service and etc. from over the years.The car has been stored indoors most of its life with much of that being in climate controlled storage.This is a very nice original looking solid convertible.I would rate the condition as extremely nice driver/local show condition.Non paying bidders will be prosecuted.
