Vehicle Detail
1977 Pontiac Trans AM I bought this car hoping to restore it but it is just been sitting in the garage collecting dust and I now need the room. I would really like it to go to someone who will get it back up an on the road. Pretty solid car from South Dakota. I bought this car as a project and looked at several before I found one with a good solid body. Floor pan & trunk pan are pretty clean and solid. There is some rust in the lower part of the inner rear 1/4s (very typical of F bodies but pretty minor fix and repair panels are cheap) Car was last registered in 2006. This car is a roller, which means there is no motor or transmission. The original posi-trac rear end is still in the car. The car was originally a 400 automatic car - white with red interior. It appears the car has been repainted at some point, hence the fact there is no eagle on the hood or other decals. There has been some body work to the right rear lower quarter panel (check out the pic). This is a great car to start with and build it your way! As you can see in pictures, the body is pretty clean except for a couple of small dings above the driver side door. I did have a body shop professional look at it, and he said it was an fairly easy fix. I do have the original shaker hood air cleaner top. Also, there are new exhaust tail pipes in the back seat and the original shifter is in the trunk. I did notice when I pushed it out of the garage that the steering colum is a bit loose so it may need tightening or rebuilt. These cars are really starting to go up in value and are becoming very collectible. The cool thing is, there are several companies - like Classic Industries, NPD, and Original Part group - that stock all parts needed for this car to help make the restoration process easier. The car has Pontiac Rally II wheels on it. I also have a set of Gen III Pontiac TransAm wheels and tires that I will also include in the sale. Clear title in hand. If you live in the area and would like to come by and look at it let me know and I would be happy to show it to you. What you see is what you get if you have any questions ask. This auction is has a very low reserve! I will not arrange or pay for shipping, but if you make all the arrangements and pay to have it picked up I will do what I can to help load. $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of end of sale. Good Luck and Happy Bidding !!!!
