Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser. We purchased the car in September of 2006 from California with 115k miles, so it doesn't have rust issues as you would expect from a vehicle of that age from the Midwest. It was a vehicle primarily used as a college vehicle for my children, that being said the exterior of the car is not in good shape, however to my knowledge the car has not been in any accidents (Read description above to learn about the exterior issues). The interior is in 'good' shape, the car comes with rubber mats that protect the carpet. The leather is in good shape for its age, but there is a small cut in the drivers seat (see pic). The radio back light does not light up when dark, however everything else lights up (actual radio works fine, but the CD player does not operate). The left rear passenger door does not lock/unlock when using the button on the driver's door, kinda hard to describe. On the rear of the driver's seat the back part came off from a child kicking it, the piece you can see in the picture. Mechanically, the engine and transmission run well - however there is a small oil leak coming from the engine. I routinely changed the oil myself every ~6k miles. This vehicle also comes with factory lockers, which I understand is desirable to the off-road crowd. This vehicle was not used for off-roading or towing by my family though. I just replaced the tires a few months ago, and only 2k miles were put on them so they're basically new. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car far distances. I realize that this vehicle is not in perfect condition at all and that it needs some TLC, therefore I'm not putting a reserve on the vehicle. I tried to describe this car the best I could, so if there are any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Please allow for the mileage to vary as I drive this vehicle occasionally through out the week. Buyer is responsible for shipping, I would drive reasonably to drop the car off to the shipper. Vehicle comes with two sets of keys There is no warranty expressed, written or implied in this description.
