Vehicle Detail
1964 Mercury Comet Caliente, Here is a chance to own a real classic, this car runs and driver great, I want you all to know that this is a very rare car, there were not too many with all three options, Factory air, pwr steering and pwr brakes, I was also told that there were not very many Fawn Beige also and that the color was only offer for the Comet only and only for 1964 Mercury Comet not any other Ford used that color, This is a very rare car and maybe the only one out there. Here are the options for this car. 63D- 2 door hard top, T Fawn Beige (Color) 39A Medium Palomino Interior color, Date Code 18M-Dec 18Th 1963, DSO 52- Los Angeles, 1 3.0 Axle, 6 full range 3 speed automatic transmission. I have replaced the upper and lower control arms I rebuilt the front end, I also converted for front brakes to disc, I left the stock master cylinder and brake booster, I used the spindles off of a 1970 Mustang, for those of you that know these cars know that if you have a power brake car and you want to keep the power brakes on it and if you do what I did and convert the brakes to disc in most cases you will have to eliminate the brake booster of cut the shock tower, I wanted to keep this car stock, so by using the factor Ford brake caliper this can be done the car stops perfectly, I have the stock spindles and drums that will go with the car. There is no rust on the car, This car has spent it's whole life in Southern California. I keep it in my garage with a cover on it, it is a matching numbers car, it is a very rare car, it is a K code 289 4V engine, Has factor power steering, brakes and AC. the AC works perfect it blows ice cold, I restored the AC and heater box, new heater core, this car does not need much, it will need a fuel sending unit, I also have an extra dash cluster for it the one in the car on the top where it screws in the hole is broken and for those of you that know these cars it's all most impossible to find one. It also has new tires on it, if you are local please call me and come see the car, If you have any questions please call me I will answer all questions. Leo. 909-233-5341. On Oct-01-14 at 11:36:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I am posting the miles here on the car, I can't change the millage on here not sure how to do it I tried several times and I can't do it, the actually miles on the car are 45700 is what the speedo ready, I would assume that it has 145700. I am not to sure tho because if you actually seen the car it's super clean, no rust at all anywhere, The undercarriage is super clean also, This car runs and drives like a new car. It does not use any oil nor does it smoke. Please call me if you want to know more, I am trying to post a video of the car, thanks for looking, Leo. 909-233-5341.
