Vehicle Detail

1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Sedan. In good condition for its age, selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder as the title is lost. I bought this car from a local elderly gentleman last week as I wanted the snow tires and wheels from it for my 2004 Grand Marquis for the winter. But it turns out that the offset is completely different on my later car and the brakes are much bigger so they won't fit. I was then going to part out this 89 Grand Marquis after removing the wheels and tires. But as I can't use the wheels and tires as intended and the car is actually in very good shape and drives well I have decided to sell it on Ebay with No Reserve hoping to get the money back that I invested in to it. The mechanical condition of this car is good. It is very reliable and will drive you anywhere you need to go. I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. The 5.0 Windsor V8 starts and runs faultlessly. It has a perfect smooth idle and uses no oil or coolant. It has recently been fitted with a new brake master cylinder and a new alternator. The brakes are good and stop in a straight line. The suspension is smooth. The alignment is perfect. It has 4 very good studded snow tires fitted which cost more than the car is worth. The AOD overdrive transmission shifts through all gears as it should with no overdrive issues as there often is on these. Overall a good reliable well maintained car. The bodywork is good for its age. There is no rust at all, the underside of the car is like new. The paint is deteriorated on the hood and trunk and there are some minor marks and dents. It has aluminum wheels and a good condition padded vinyl landau top. It is a presentable and solid car. The interior is in good shape for its age. There are some minor cracks to the dash pad. A few other minor marks and signs of wear. The head liner is good as are the seats. The power locks don't work and the drivers power window does not work. Everything else seems to work well and it has a good heater. It is a very comfortable and refined car. It cruises nicely on the freeway. Overall a clean reliable old car. This is a full size car but gets surprisingly good fuel mileage from its fuel injected V8 and overdrive transmission. It seems to average around 24MPG with me driving it around locally. The title was lost years ago so whoever buys it will have to apply for a title from their home State, what this involves varies from State to State so please research this if you are unfamiliar. I know in California where I spend most of the year it is rather simple just requiring a VIN verification and the completion of a couple of forms. Then a couple of weeks later a new title arrives in the mail. I bought temporary license plates from the DMV in Montana for it so as I could drive it home and I have driven it about 100 miles on these and it drives very well. I can provide a bill of sale. I expect that this car will drive you anywhere in the country so there is no need to have any concerns about it getting you home. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE MESSAGE ME THROUGH EBAY OR CALL ME ON 657 212 1998. THE CAR IS LOCATED AT MY CABIN IN MONTANA. I CAN COLLECT ANY BUYER FROM BOZEMAN OR WEST YELLOWSTONE AIRPORT IF YOU ARE FLYING IN. THIS CAR WILL DRIVE BACK TO ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY SO YOU SHOULD HAVE NO CONCERNS DRIVING IT ANYWHERE. A $250 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED VIA PAYPAL WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE AUCTION ENDING AND THE BALANCE MUST BE PAID WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE AUCTION ENDING VIA PAYPAL OR CASH. THE CAR MUST BE COLLECTED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE AUCTION ENDING.
