Vehicle Detail

Here is a beautiful CT70H matching numbers Project Bike that was being built out as a high-end rider for my wife . . . not a show bike. VIN is dated 02/1971 I bought the Frame, Engine, Fork, and Swingarm here on EBAY a few years ago. Secured a clear MN title, registration and plate. The frame was bead-blasted and professionally painted Candy Emerald Green. Rear shocks were rebuild by a really talented fellow who is the only guy I know who does such things. I rebuilt the front forks with new CHP front fork lowers. The seat is original Honda that was beautifully restored. About a month ago I took the engine to a master engine builder who split the cases, put in a new kick shaft, bored to 2nd over and replaced any parts that needed it with genuine Honda. He benchtested and dyno'd the engine and commented that it ran particularly strong. Most of the other parts are original Honda collected here on EBAY or CHP repops (the nice ones) a couple are no-name repops. Everything that you see on the table EXCEPT the bug and the towel are included. There is another bunch of smaller parts that I need to photograph that is also included which are another couple hundred dollars worth of new or original parts. The photos accurately reflect the color and state of the build today and I am happy to answer any and all questions. This is an opportunity for someone who wants a nice CT70H but doesn't necessarily have the resources to restore or the $$ to spend 2 or 3 grand on a minibike. The engine alone is more than the starting bid and the engine and the chrome parts alone are more than the reserve. Ask any and all questions before you bid. Here are the Terms: This is used and is being sold AS-IS, NO WARANTY, NO RETURNS. $500 deposit is due via PayPal within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Balance is due paid in cash or cashier's check with 7 days. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I may pack this in 4 or 5 stout boxes if we can agree on a reasonable fee. In any case all shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and once it leaves my garage, you own it. Check my perfect feedback going back 14 years and bid with confidence. On Oct-09-14 at 18:24:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Several people asking if ALL of the pieces are included. Every screw, washer etc. They are not. Just what you see in the photos plus another bunch of small parts that I will photograph tomorrow. You will need to buy a set of handlebars and a few other items to complete the build but as you can see the biggest things are here. Frame, engine, most of the chrome, seat, wheels, tires etc. I will see what I have on hand for hardware and include what I find in the picure that I post tomorrow. But regardless you WILL need to source a few items at CHP Performance, Beatrice Cycle or TrailBikes. They are all readily available from any of those three online sellers. Hope that helps. On Oct-10-14 at 14:09:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I added a few photos as promised of some of the other parts that I had to search for a bit. Some Nice bits here are gas tank, bracket and cap which will need some cleanup and paint. Hubs and new brake parts, Brake stay assembly, brake pads, bearings, rear brake rod, GRAY Front brake cable with switch, GRAY speedo cable (old cool) tank pads original and some new material to cut your own new ones if you want. Throttle parts (nice) drive chain. Some Honda hardware, and some SS bolts that you can use to assemble much of the bike. rear brake light (repop) front headlight ring. front pigtail. And a set of filthy rusty pegs. This greatly reduces the number of things you would actually have to buy to complete this build. All FYIOn Oct-10-14 at 15:49:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Found one more piece of new chrome .. . its repop but look pretty nice. One less thing to buy . . . see picOn Oct-11-14 at 11:06:00 PDT, seller added the following information: a couple asked about the VIN frame is 157730 engine is 158084 Hope that helps . . .
