2002 Pontiac Firebird with T-Tops, last year of production for the Firebird. The Good W72 Performance package. W68 Appearence package. Rare sunset orange metallic factory paint. Goodyear Eagle GT radial tires with good tread left. Body is in overall great condition for a 12 year old car. Interior is in decent condition, no tears in the fabric. New rear axle bearings, both sides. Car starts, drives forward and reverse, trans shifts smooth, stops on a dime. Aftermarket Kenwood sterio CD player The Bad Engine has a loud noise, do not know for sure what it is. Everybody seems to have an opinion, been told its the top end, been told its the bottom end. I purchased the car to figure out what the problem is, worse case to hire someone to swap out the engine. After some reasearch I did find that any 3800 series II or series III engine can be used from a FWD or RWD car up from 1998 - 2007 which there are plenty of FWD GM cars that use this engine. I found some engines locally for $450 with only 50k miles. What you would have to do is break the FWD engine down to a long block and transfer the external parts from the existing RWD powertrain. This is of course assuming you dont already have a RWD 3800 series engine available. I now have a new job that requires me to travel alot and just dont have time to take on such a project. Drivers side power window does not roll up all the way up, needs some adjustment. Center console lid & power antenna needs to be replaced. Battery & spare tire are not included. I have a battery that can be used to start the car and drive the car onto a trailer. $500 deposit due within 24 hours after end of auction, sorry no refunds..
