Vehicle Detail

1989 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Wagon Only 26,299 Original Miles Since New 1 Owner Since New As time goes on it seems as though we as collectors stick with cars that had tons of power, lots of style an were iconic to us as a nation. Those cars were built in an era where Detroit battled it out on the streets of America. When you see GTO or a Chevelle or Charger and read words like tri-power and hemi we automatically refer back to the late 60’s where Detroit was at its finest. There is no doubt that all those muscle cars were awesome in every sense. But we tend to forget as we out grew that era and our focus was more on a career and family, those cars were just a memory and cars like this 1989 Olds Custom Cruiser where the cars that travelled the streets of American. Although this car is not that old, it encompasses the pure sense of family values that have been passed down from generation to generation. There were no iPods or iPads in the 80’s and video games back then more than sucked compared to today. But when the family piled into a car like that, little did they know that they were creating memories that would last a lifetime, and seeing a car like this truly ignites those memories and makes you glad that you were able to do that when you did. A car like this will never break any speed records, and couldn’t do a massive burn out, but is could seat a family of up to nine and hold a week’s worth of luggage on the roof and create unforgettable laughter and fun times that were spread on to the next generation of families. This Olds symbolizes more than just a big old tank, it represents an American culture when Detroit tried to bring the qualities of your home and put them into a car….hence the wood grain siding representing the paneling in our homes and the plush sofa like seats that we all gathered around on and watched shows like Family Ties and the Huxtables. Please read on about the qualities of this Olds and why it is so special and rare to find one as pristine as this one offered here today. Exterior: As you can see from the pictures, this exterior is immaculate. The car has only 26k original miles. Purchase new by an elderly couple to spend their retirement years travelling. They had no children but wanted the room for luggage and collectibles they would find on their trips. The car never was abused, never were their kids jumping in after a little league game with cleats on, just this elderly couple. The wood grain is in immaculate condition as is the paint. All the chrome and bright work is near mint condition. The glass and lights and marker lights are all like new. The wire wheels still glisten in the sun. After traveling just little miles, the husband had passed away and sat, barely driven, but preserved in a climate controlled garage. Please view all the pictures and let us know of any questions. Interior: There were no short of options on this vehicle and the couple wanted many modern conveniences at their fingertips. The car was ordered with the 1SC convenience package raising the price of the car by nearly $2600. It comes loaded with all power options and everything still works. Even the rear door opens in to direction. 1 as a barn door and 1 as tailgate. That package also came with the hidden rear seats and were probably never used. As you can see from the pictures the interior is like new. In fact it still smells new. Please view the pictures below and let us know of any questions you may have. Drive-train: The car came with the very reliable 307 cubic in, 5.0ltr V8. It provided plenty of power for sight seeing and yet was pretty fuel efficient considering it had to move 2 tons of steel around. Underneath the hood has not been detailed whatsoever and is indicative of a 26k mile car. Every driving component on this car is road worthy and feel confident in flying in and driving home. She runs smooth and quiet. Please let us know of any questions you may have. In Summation: We hope you realize what this car means and represents. We have all the original books that came with purchase including the sales receipt showing cost and options. There were no modifications done to this vehicle, it is as it came from the factory. We even have a copy of the original title. Let’s preserve our memories we had with vehicles like this. These types of cars are becoming more and more collectible and valuable because of what they stood for and accomplished. Thank you for looking!Slide Show Below...
