This 1980 Jeep CJ-7 has been trated to not only a body off restoration, but many upgrades with one thing in mind: Fun. Brand New Smittybilt waterproof seats were installed front and rear, and the entire inside of the body was rhino lined with the idea in mind of after a long day of surfing, skiing, or enjoying the outdoors; the interior could simply be hosed out. A waterproof locking center console made be Vertically Driven Products was installed. The BESTTOP bikini top is perfect for hot sunny days with a chance of an afternoon shower. This Jeep also comes with a hardtop, which insures you will be warm and dry on your way to the ski sloped in the winter. All brand new seatbelts were just installed that match the black interior. A new sound system was added for additional entertainment during your next adventure. The jeep has been lifted using a BRAND NEW Rough Country 4" Suspension lift kit and combined with 1" shackles and Hydro-Shocks, for a total of 5" of lift. This making plenty of room for the BRAND NEW Kumho Venture M/T 35" Mud Terrain tires on Black Rock wheels. Whether you are driving through beach sand, mountain snow or all the muddy trails in between, this combination is sure to get you there with ease. The body of this great 1980 CJ-7 is perfectly solid and completely rust free. You won't find rust anywhere on this gorgeous jeep. The Bright Metallic Silver paint was done correctly in a triple stage( primer, base, clear) and everything was removed and the door jams, inner fender wells, firewall, etc. were all painted as well. The inner fender wells on this beautiful 1980 Jeep CJ-7 are just as glossy as the rest of the body. During the restoration, while the body was off, the frame was sand blasted and painted in POR-17 for years of perfection. All new body mount bushings were used during the body re-installation. This 1980 Jeep CJ7 not only looks like a brand new Jeep, but is just as reliable. The engine was upgraded to a GM 5.0L 305 producing plenty of torque, lots of horse power, and reliability to match. The engine is mounted to a GM T-5 transmission ( 5 Speed ) and encompasses the world famous 4x4 system. The engine was completely rebuilt from carb to oil pan. It fires right up at the first twist of the key, responds to the pedal instantly, idles nicely, and runs smooth. The 5 speed transmission was also completely rebuilt and the clutch was replace. All of the brakes were redone from top to bottom, using braided stainless steel lines, master cylinder, booster,new fittings, etc. The radiator was just replaced with a brand new all aluminum custom radiator to ensure that this jeep runs nice and cool. Mechanically this jeep is perfect and will take her new owners wherever they wish to go. There are too many details that were upgraded,restored, replaced, or overhauled during the restoration to mention.
