Up for adoption: 1969 Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3. This car is a Euro model originally delivered in Germany. So hear is the story. I needed to work in the garage one day so I started it up and pulled it out. I let it run for about half an hour and shut it off. At the end of the day I went to pull it back in and it would not start. I was tired an aggravated so I pushed it back inside. A day or two later I tried to see why it would not start and still could not get it going. Fast forward several years and here we are. Car currently does not run. I have not tried to start it again. I know it needs a supply pump probably has other needs to get it running.. Interior needs all wood refinished, window regulators repaired, headliner, steering wheel is cracked, overall serious cleaning. The vehicle is solid and would make a good project, but, this is a 45 year old car so it will need various things as you can imagine. Vehicle is being sold AS-IS where IS with no warranty. Before it quit I replaced the injection pump (rebuilt by Fairchild), water pump, brakes and other stuff I can't remember. I have a clear Indiana title in my name. Vehicle must be paid for in full within 7 days. Personal checks will be accepted but vehicle will not be released until funds clear (that includes cashier's checks). NOTE: I will not ship vehicle. Vehicle is NOT accessible to tractor-trailer car haulers ( I would not trust them to ship anyway). Bring a trailer, wedge or roll-back and I will help load. I have been getting a lot of emails from people in California and Washington. This car is located in Indiana near Louisville, KY. It is NOT accessible to a commercial car transporter. You should plan on coming to get it or have a buddy close enough to come and get it. The car is at my house. I live in the country and trucks can't get into my drive way (actually they can't even get within 4 miles of my driveway). A straight truck, bumper trailer or short goose neck (< 25') trailer (hot-shot) type vehicle can get in. Indiana sales tax laws applied. I will not ship any items totaling over $200 or freight shipments unless you supply a daytime phone number. I will not be responsible for delivery problems if you supply a bogus number (like 111-111-1111) and the carrier cannot get hold of you. If you have any questions please ask dplain@earthlink net. I will gladly hold the items and adjust the shipping on the next auction(s) to reflect a combined shipping cost but you need to let me know first. NO GAMES - Unless someone here runs over the item with a forklift or something I will not end an auction early. Even if I'll lose money I won't end an auction for an outside sale so don't ask. It really makes me mad to be bidding on an auction and the seller makes a "deal" to cancel the auction and sell it out from under the bidders. I put it on eBay to sell on eBay. If you are interested in the item bid on it. DOMESTIC BIDDERS ONLY - That means I will NOT ship outside the US so don't bother asking me. TAXES - Indiana sales tax is due on all in-state sales unless tax exemption is on file. That means even if you live out-of-state and you take possession of an item within Indiana state borders tax is due. If the item is shipped via common carrier out of state then no tax is due. I've seen a sales tax audit and I don't want any part of that. Ebay checkout does not always handle sales tax correctly I will invoice you a correct amount if that is the case. You will always receive a receipt. SHIPPING - Unless local pickup or specified amount is indicated in the description buyer only pays cheapest ACTUAL shipping/insurance. All items will be shipped with some form of tracking number that will be forwarded to buyer when item(s) are shipped. I will not ship any items over $200 or freight shipments unless you supply a daytime phone number. Occasionally material fee will be specified in the auction description for skidding or crating of large items. Shipping for multiple auction items will be combined whenever possible/practical. I generally use FedEx (they handle packages better than UPS). Shipments to unconfirmed PayPal addresses will be made at my discretion. Local pickup is always available and is free. Without prior arrangement, any item left over 60 days will be considered abandoned and disposed of at my discretion with no compensation given to the buyer. EBAY MESSAGES and EMAIL - Ebay's messaging system does not always send messages or sends them late to my email for some reason. If your not getting a response from me try my email directly (shown in auction description and on your receipt). If you do not recieve a reply from me I'm not ignoring you it's because I don't know there is a message. Keep in mind that I am not at my computer 24/7. You may not reveive a reply in 10 minutes like some people expect. Work hours and timezome differences can delay my response as well so please keep your time expectations realistic. PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURITY - Your personal information (address, phone number, email,...) will not be given, sold or traded to anyone other than the carrier to insure that your item(s) arrives undamaged and in a timely manner. The information will only be used to complete your auction transactions and resolve any issues that might arise. FEEDBACK - While I appreciate positive feedback I won't hold yours hostage. You will receive feedback whether or not it is given first. I post feedbacks periodically (usually weekly) so yours may not show up immediately. REFUNDS - I make every effort to make my descriptions accurate. You have 7 days after you receive the item to let me know if there is a problem NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are too busy to checkout an item within 7 days you are too busy to bid on this auction. If I was at fault you will receive a full refund including shipping - provided the item is returned to me in the same packaging and in the same condition which it was sent. Refunds for transactions which I was not at fault (i.e. item is not what you needed or what you thought it was) will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
