This 1977 FJ40 has a total frame off restoration. The body was disassembled, media blasted, prepped and repainted the original blue. the fj was purchased new in Georgia and spent its life there. You can tell by the original pictures there is no rust anywhere on vehicle except surface rust where paint was scratched, Unlike most restoration this vehicles body was almost perfect to start with no body panels replaced or any rusty places to fix. The engine was totally rebuilt and transmission and transfer case was checked by a Toyota dealer and rear end was rebuilt also. The vehicle has less than fifty thousand original miles. Have note book full of receipts. basically every thing has been replaced or rebuilt. You can see by the pictures. You can copy the link below and see the fj before restoration and during it. It has been in garage for the last thirteen years before starting restoration last year. Wheels are new from Toyota and can be painted to the original grey if preferred. The spare wheel and tire are original, the tire is dated 1976 but is dry rotted. The frame was media blasted and coated with por15 to prevent rust in future. The tires are new. Has skid plate but not on vehicle. All new stainless steel brake lines, brakes totally rebuilt with all new parts. Engine was totally rebuilt with new pistons, rings, lifters valves. Original floor mats, jack and tool kit. have original am radio but not installed. New Seat covers and door panels. Rear seats have original covers. Over forty thousand invested.
