Not a junk vehicle. Would make a good, paid off daily driver SUV or a good hunting/off road SUV SERVICE & MAINTENANCE RECORDS -- You will receive about 17 pages of service and maintenance records, most from year 2009+ since I've owned the Jeep, but the prior owner gave me some going back to 2004 PRICE: I am open to best offers, but I am absolutely not considering low-ball offers. Your offer must be '$'-thousand, NOT '$'-hundred. Any vehicle that runs and drives, comes with several years of service records, has 4 wheel drive and power windows/locks is worth at least $1,500.00 and I am asking for less. This Jeep may be older with miles, but it is not trash- it RUNS and DRIVES. REASON I AM SELLING: I have owned this Jeep since June 2009 and it has been used as a daily driver by my family since 2009. My mother moved to Atlanta a few years ago, I bought myself a newer Jeep and let her use this Jeep as her daily driver for her commercial janitorial work. She is no longer working in that industry anymore and no longer needs the space of an SUV to haul cleaning equipment so she gave it back to me last month. I was going to keep this Jeep as a second vehicle, but at the end of August a thief broke into it. The damage done to this Jeep (busted vent window and steering column) was repaired by insurance, but I'm no longer keen on keeping a spare vehicle in my driveway that may again attract criminals to my home. It was just going to be paid-off spare fun Jeep for me, but after this incident I think it's better that the Jeep becomes someone else's paid-off daily driver or spare fun vehicle. 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country XJ 6 cyl 4.0L 4x4* 255,100 miles on the body (May only have 85,100 miles on a rebuilt engine, but I cannot confirm this)-- I bought the Jeep used in a private party purchase in June 2009, with approximately 222,000 miles on the dash at the time of purchase. Previous owners said they rebuilt the engine prior to my purchase (they stated there was approximately 52,000 miles on engine at time of sale), but Buyer Beware as no supporting documentation for engine work was given to me. I am explicitly representing, selling, and pricing this Jeep as a 255k mileage vehicle.* Passed Georgia emissions checks on the first try each time, every year I’ve owned it (2009 to present) with no problems.* 4 Matching Newer Tires-- Only have 15,000 miles on them and measure 7/32 remaning depth! A brand new tire depth is 10/32 and do not need to be replaced until 2/32.* New Battery installed in 2013* 4-Speed Automatic Transmission* CLEAR TITLE IN HAND!* 4.0 L, 6 cylinders, 4WD (four wheel drive)* 4 Doors* Red Exterior Paint* Wood Trim* Tan / Beige Cloth Interior* Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel* Air Conditioning* Power Windows* Power Door Locks* Power Steering* Flip Up Sunroof / Moonroof* Roof Rack* Tinted Windows* Tilt Steering Wheel* Alloy Wheels* Small Spare Tire w/ Tire Cover and Full Size Spare (only at 9/32 depth! A new tire is 10/32)* Front & Rear Windshield Wipers* AM/FM Stereo with 4 speakers (appears to be original stereo and speakers)* Cassette Tape Player (appears to be original tape player)* Original Manufacturer Window Sticker (Fun Fact: Original MSRP of $21,528)* Original Owners Manual* Two keys VEHICLE MAINTENANCE HISTORY JUNE 2009 – PRESENT:I will give the new owner of this Jeep about 17 pages of service and maintenance records, mostly from 2009 since I've owned the Jeep, but some from the previous owner going back to 2004. Since becoming the owner in June 2009 I have done annual emissions, basic routine maintenance (like oil changes, replace windshield wipers, top off fluids, etc.) plus the service and maintenance work listed below:2014: Repairs paid by auto insurance- Steering column repair and replace passenger small vent window glass2013: New alternator, front wheel alignment, new battery, stabilizer bar, power steering hose/gear box/fluid, thermostat and gasket, antifreeze2012: Four brand new and matching tires, belt, water pump, fluid2011: Replace radiator, power steering pump, power steering fluid, anti-freeze and coolant2010: Replace radiator hose, replace heater hose/tube, replace thermostat, added anti-freeze2009: Replace crank sensor, replace oil filter base seal, full tune up (new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter)DISCLOSURES OF KNOWN ISSUES: I know you want to know what the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the Jeep is and I am disclosing all I know to be an issue, but I am not a mechanic or body repair technician and have little to no knowledge with regards to what a specific problem may be, how to fix it or the estimated cost to fix. All I can say is that the Jeep currently runs and drives and up until last month was a daily driving vehicle. I cannot predict what mechanical problems the vehicle may have next month, next year, or five years now. For the most part I have made repairs as things came up, as you can see from the service & maintenance history provided, but there are issues that I have elected to not repair IF it does not affected the Jeep's ability to run and drive AND those issues cost significantly more in hourly labor charges than in actual parts costs to chase down and repair WHEN it is simply not worth it given the age/miles/value of the Jeep. But again, I have mostly made repairs as things came up, just not when it's not worth it and doesn't impact the Jeep's ability to be a daily driver. You may choose to pay for all of these things to be repaired at a shop (but for a running Jeep for under $1,500 I'd guess you'd also make do as I have), or you may be a home mechanic/Jeep enthusiast with the knowledge and tools to make these repairs without having to pay for labor. I am not, so the following is being disclosed as known but unrepaired issues: COSMETIC * Please look at all 24 pictures! The interior is good in some areas, but stained/marked/damaged/ripped/faded in other areas. A good shampooing of the cloth and carpet would probably help the overall look, but I have never taken the time to do it. Again, my personal opinion is the overall interior appearance is at least in keeping with expected wear and tear, but I think it's actually in better condition than one would expect for a Jeep this age. * Please look at all 24 pictures! The exterior paint is great in some areas, but chipped/peeled/faded in other areas. The exterior body has several nicks/scratches/cracks/rubs around the entire vehicle. There is some denting, particularly on the bumper, and the front bumper currently shows prior unrepaired collision damage on the front passenger side. However, I have a brand new, unused, unpainted black metal bumper and new, unused, unpainted black right and left front bumper end caps I will be giving to you for FREE as part of the sale. Installation is YOUR responsibility, I do not know how to install it myself and I will not pay for it to be installed for you. It also looks like parts of the front grill area were replaced by a previous owner as the paint doesn't quite match perfectly. All of this damage was prior to my owning the vehicle. I purchased it with this front damage so I can't tell you anything more about it. My personal opinion is the overall exterior appearance is at least in keeping with expected wear and tear, but I think it's actually in better condition than one would expect for a Jeep this age. * The rear driver's side window tint is peeling away and the newly replaced front passenger side small vent window is not tinted.. MECHANICAL. * The rear hatch trunk door does not stay in the upright open position when opened. I have had to either hold it open or wedge something to keep it open.* There is play in steering to the left and right, i.e. driving straight actually means having the steering wheel turned a little to the right. I already had an alignment done in 2013 and it did not significantly help the problem. After having the alignment done I learned that this is a highly common Jeep affliction and some simple Google searches of Jeep owner forums would confirm this. I was told that you could replace every single component related to steering and even if it feels nice and tight right afterwards, you'll probably still end up with excessive play within two years. It's strange but apparently highly common and actually 'normal' for Jeeps, so beyond the alignment last year I've not pursued any further (and more expensive) remedies. * Air conditioning blows warm air. The A/C was already like that when I first bought the Jeep so I never used it and just rolled the windows down. I do not know if it needs to be recharged or if it needs compressor/condenser/other work. * There is a fluid leak and the Jeep has been driven with said leak for about 3 years. My mechanic suggested it would not be worth the cost to chase it down and repair it, so I've left it alone and simply add around a quart of oil every couple of months. I do not have any further knowledge about this and am not aware of any further problems that could or have developed from this. I just simply keep up with monitoring and maintaining oil levels and the Jeep is still running and driving. 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country / VIN: 1J4FJ78S6PL532653 IS SOLD AS IS AND WHERE IS, NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED, WRITTEN OR IMPLIED.
