Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1962 TR3A (late serial number TS 80243 LO) with the optional overdrive transmission. The engine is a TR3B version (stamped TCF 2359E). I have owned this car for nearly 30 years and it has been a pleasure to own. My children grew up riding in this car and we all have fond memories of numerous open air road trips. It has always been stored indoors. The car is a very good - excellent driver. The buyer can drive as is and will be rewarded with a very solid car with a strong, great running engine – with no issues. The SU carburetors were recently sent to SUCARBS.com for overhaul resulting in the engine idling and running very nicely. All electrical components are functioning and the over-drive transmission works very smoothly. The track is straight and the brakes are very strong. Tires and wheels (Dayton 60 spokes) are nearly new - having less than 500 miles on them. Carpet, floors and inner rocker panels were just replaced. I have tried to present a fair representation with photos underneath, inside, outside, etc. As for any 52 year old car, it is being sold ‘as is’ and ‘where is’. I will require immediate contact upon sale and a $1000 deposit, via Paypal within 48 hours, with final payment made within seven days. I can store the car at no charge for a reasonable period of time and assist with shipping. If you have any questions or require any specific photos, please contact me on 303-818-4607.On Sep-23-14 at 09:54:00 PDT, seller added the following information: For sale is a 1962 TR3A (late serial number TS 80243 LO) with the optional overdrive transmission. The overall condition is the proverbial 20 foot paint job. It has it's share of chips and scratches and a paint run below one of the hood hinges. One of the front fenders was dented and repaired (driveway parking accident) and the shade of green does not quite match (see photos) the rest of the car. Prior to this sale, my mechanic polished and waxed the car and it looks rather good considering it's age.If you have any questions or require any specific photos, please contact me on 303-818-4607.On Sep-26-14 at 10:46:56 PDT, seller added the following information: A question was asked about engine repairs: In the many years I have owned the car I have put less than 5000 miles on the engine/car. The engine runs very strong as the compression test results I published earlier reflect. The following are the only items that have been required for the engine during my ownership: oil changes, replaced distributor, adjusted valves, rebuilt carbs (twice), points/plugs/condenser/rotor, repaired radiator, replaced hoses, and repaired generator.
