I've been riding motorcycles since 1965 and it's time to slow down a bit. This 2001 BMW R1100S ABS model was purchased in September of 2012 at which time the bike had 4,487 miles on it and I became 3rd owner. It was my 18th motorcycle and my 4th BMW. It was in very nice condition when I got it but needed full service, replacement of a few missing OEM hardware items and new tires. The motorcycle was treated to a complete fairing off cleanup then new oil and filter, trans oil and differential case oil, valve adjustment, throttle synchronization, plug replacement, brake and clutch fluid replacement, replacement of the fuel pump assembly including fuel filters, air filter and a new set of Continental tires installed and balanced by me in my shop on my No-Mar tire change and balance equipment (see pictures). The motorcycle is pictured with the currently installed accessory Sargent seat and the narrower BMW OEM City Lids and is set up with standard height bars and new OEM BMW windshield. I have conservatively accessorized the bike with Throttlemeister cruise control, Tech Spec tank pads and an oil cooler screen. I also installed a set of nice dual sport horns which are tucked away out of sight and will definitely get an errant motorist's attention. This motorcycle is complete in every way down to factory decals and warnings. The tool set is absolutely complete. It comes with 2 sets of keys and all the original owner's manuals, factory service manual and a BMW soft cover. Please see my photos to get an idea of the thorough restoration and present condition. It runs, shifts and brakes perfectly, is turn key, needs nothing. All stock parts removed such as the anemic horn, original bar ends, original saddlebag lids and stock seat are absolutely included. This motorcycle is sold as-is where is, available for inspection but no test pilots. I'm selling no reserve starting at 3,000.00 to buyers in the lower 48 United States. Shipping arrangements or pickup are responsibility of the buyer but I will be available to hand off the motorcycle to your shipper at my residence. I expect $500.00 deposit within 48hrs of close of auction. You can pay the balance within 7 days via cash at pickup, certified bank check or personal check with a hold while funds clear my bank. If required I will send signed off title to the buyer along with owners manuals and receipts once final payment has cleared my bank account. I can store the bike for up to 30 days while you arrange shipment or pickup.
