Here for sale is very rare and desirable very highly documented AMX with a 390 Go Pack 4 speed option In golden Lime metallic with black vinynl interior . 1970 AMX was the only mass produced 2 seat Muscle Car other than the 1955-1957 Thunderbird and of course the Corvette. Of the three years of production of the 2 seat AMX, the 1970 was the lowest production with only 4116 produced, the changes in 1970 were Ram air induction with a Ram Air Hood, re-styled front and rear end, new 51cc heads that increased horsepower to 325 HP. , new double wish bone suspension with a re designed interior and new exterior mirrors and the very desirable shadow mask option. Also included in the very desirable go pac option which included front power disc brakes , F70 raised white letter tires, handling package, heavy duty cooling system with a functional Ram Air scoop .The AMX performed a 0 to 60 in 6.5 seconds and quarter mile times from 14.1 to 14.7. depending on who was doing the article Which was equal to the mighty 1970 Z-28. I own a restoration shop and I am a car collector . I only buy cars that are documented with original paper work and are sound investments. When I came across this car and seen the loads of documentation that it had I purchased it and bought it home to do a light restoration on it and drive it and enjoy it. As I like to drive my cars and enjoy them. Let me start off by saying as I describe this car the only rust that I could find anywhere was the lower right and left rear quarter panels and two very small little spots on the floor seam on the left and right of the bucket seats by the drain plugs I have photos of these two spots measuring 1 inch x 3 inches . I took the car in my shop and repaired the two floor spots bought the replacement panels and replaced the lower inner and outer quarter panels along with some door dings on the drivers side and passenger side door and the drivers side door. When I contacted the original owner he explained to me that the car was involved in a light accident and replaced the drivers side door and repaired the drivers side quarter panel in the mid 1970's that is when the color to burgundy took place I will give his contact info to the winning bidder. I repaired and blocked and primed the drivers side quarter panel and doors. After the repairs were done I put it in storage to finish some other high end cars that I was building. This not a forced sale it's a good opportunity to any quality investor looking for a grade A muscle cars, as I have a 57 F Bird , 57 Lotus 11 and a 1974 Super Duty in the works.I have photos of the car after the repairs were done that I can email upon request. The only thing that I can see that is missing is the snorkel off of the Ram Air Cleaner and the oil pan is after market. Other than that this is one of the nicest cleanest untouched and original muscle cars that I have ever owned. Also this is the most documented car I have ever owned.
