1965 Ford Mustang Convertible 800x600 We’ve finally decided to part with our beautiful 1965 Mustang Convertible. When putting this car together we picked out the very best parts of Ford’s Iconic Pony Car to what we thought was the epitome of what a Mustang should be. Picture yourself on the showroom floor at Ford’s dealership in 1965. You want a Mustang, naturally it has to be red, the interior is so much more appealing in light biscuit vinyl complete with the Pony Package and a center console. Of course you’d want the powerful V8, and this one is equipped with a four-barrel Holley carburetor, roller rockers, and a mild cam. Putting out nearly 300 Horsepower! You would also add on the GT package, because let’s face it, it looks so much better, altogether with GT rims, fog lights, dual valance exhaust trumpets, high quality disc-brakes, and all the badges. To complete the package a nice original Rally-Pac and a factory GT wood-grain steering wheel is also a must. What we’ve just created is the “Perfect Mustang”. General Condition: This Mustang is in very good to excellent condition. The body is solid and rust free, original floors and platform/structure. The paint is in excellent condition and with a nice shine (less than 2 years old). The chrome is in excellent condition, the only thing I may consider replacing to make the car more perfect would be the vent window frames, they are the originals and have some pitting. Otherwise, bumpers, emblems, etc… are in like new condition. The mechanics are in excellent condition, the engine is smooth and powerful. It is a period correct 1965 production year 289 cu. in. (code C5-----) engine. Upgraded with unleaded fuel heads. Also added were high performance roller rockers and a mild cam. A mid-rise manifold and a brand new 4 barrel Holley Carburetor and tubular headers make this Mustang very aggressive yet very smooth. We’ve also upgraded to an MSD electronic ignition. Please note due to this the tachometer in the Rally-Pac will need to be converted. Transmission is a C4 3-speed automatic and shifts smoothly. Suspension is nice and correct as is the power steering. Comes with brand new power front disc-brakes for added safety and driving ease The deluxe Pony Interior is in very good condition. NO rips or tears. Complete with deluxe door panels and pistol grip wood grain handles to match the steering wheel. The top is in good condition, light fogging on the plastic window but is very presentable. Brand new carpeting also added. Power top is fully functional and operates perfectly. The radio is the original AM only, and is not functional, strictly to keep the originality.
