You are bidding on a Mercedes Benz 230SL roadster requiring a full restoration. I’ve included a video of the engine turning over, with the factory key – so the motor is not seized and will start. Please look at the pictures. What you see is what is included. I restored a 230sl some years ago and thought I might buy another for parts, but actually never removed anything from the car. Knowing that the aluminum hood, doors and trunk alone are worth a fortune (as well as the engine) I also thought parting her out. But I think she should be sold in tact and as one car. As the value of these cars increase, (rapidly) someone should restore her. I own a restored 280sl and enjoy it immensely. There is a hole in the trunk on the driver’s side floor (see pics), and another smaller one just behind the driver’s seat. But the rest looks solid. There is no soft-top or hardware in the car. The seats are all there; the frames are in good condition but will need recovering and new foam of course. All of the glass is good. As you can see, the hardtop is included and in place.The 230SL has a four speed transmission. Feel free to ask any questions, we are usually pretty quick to answer them. Inspections are encouraged and we have a lift if you want to crawl around and inspect the underside. The car is sold as is, where is. We do ship worldwide – and can hold the car, after payment clears, for a reasonable period of time. You'll see the rust. Also, due to the age of the car it is being sold on a bill of sale. I thought that we had a title but I think that I bought it on a bill of sale also, which is perfectly fine in most states, again due to the age of the vehicle.
