Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1985 Jeep CJ7 Laredo. This is an awesome Laredo with only 79,950 original miles and it is in incredible condition for it's age! Thousands of dollars have been spent on some very tasteful upgrades. To begin with, the original 258 6 cylinder motor was replaced with a very strong running 304 V8 which was mated to the factory 5 speed manual transmission. This is an awesome combination with tons of power and torque. As you can see in the pictures, the engine swap was done right and looks great. It has a holley 570 cfm street avenger carb sitting on an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. A set of Edelbrock headers dump into a Flow Master dual exhaust system that sounds very impressive. An HEI distributor with a set of high performance Summit ignition wires fires it all up! The rear end has factory posi-traction and the stock axles were replaced with a set of heavy duty one-piece Moser axles. It has a 2.5" Pro-Comp suspension lift that makes room for the 15" American Racing wheels wrapped with a set of 32" Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's with plenty of tread left. All the fluids were recently replaced with Royal Purple oil. A set of new front brake pads were recently put on also. The brakes work excellent. There is a Warn XD9000i winch up front mounted to a custom Warn front bumper. The original halogen fog lights were retained and work excellent. All exterior lighting including the light under the hood works. This is a very solid jeep with no rust and no body damage. I recently replaced some of the factory graphics with new ones from Phoenix Graphics. Some of the original ones were showing their age and I thought it deserved better! There is one small spot on the hood graphic that is warn as seen in the pictures. The paint is in excellent shape. I buffed it a while ago and it shines great. There are a few very minor rock chips and scratches here and there, probably not worth mentioning, but I have spotted most of them in. The full Best-Top soft top and doors are in great shape. The interior of this beautiful CJ7 is also in excellent condition. It has full carpeting and the front seats were replaced with a set of Best-Top buckets. All the gauges including the factory clock work. All the interior lighting, including the under-dash courtesy lights and an aftermarket dome light, work. It has a factory tilt steering column and the stereo works as it should. The roll bar is covered in full factory padding that is still in excellent shape. I still have the factory window sticker/build sheet and it will come with the Jeep! The only flaws worth mentioning are the cruise control does not work due to the engine swap and the drivers side seat has a couple very minor tears in the lower outer bolster which is shown in the pictures. This is an awesome running, driving and sounding CJ7 that has been very well maintained! There are no leaks, squeaks or funny noises! It is very tight and solid. It has all the power you will ever need and will surely put a smile on your face every time you jump in it and go for a ride! It always gets lots of compliments and attention! I have no doubt the new owner will not be disappointed with this Jeep. I have a clean and clear title in hand ready to sign over to the new owner.
