2005 Mercedes-Benz SL500 2003 Model Year saw an enormous leap forward in the now 60 year old story of Mercedes’ SL range. As the straight-edged wedge of the R129 points its rectilinear nose into the sunset, the succeeding R230 with lithe and curvaceous lines is a crockpot of the latest technology. A folding hardtop, whose choreography would stand up against the Bolshoi, is the first and most apparent, but the list goes on and on with electrohydraulic brake technology, active suspension systems and sportscar feel to the steering.
