Vehicle Detail

This is an exceptional and increasingly rare, rust-free, solid and straight 1967 Porsche 912 on the East Coast. The car was restored about 12 years ago as a "driver," but has actually won a few category trophies at local shows. This 912 is a five speed, 5-gauge, SWB vehicle. The engine has been lightly modified. Changes include a mild cam, NLA 1720cc pistons & cylinders, new heads, 44 IDF Webers (to replace the drafty Solex originals), an .050 Bosche distributor, and a blue coil. Nothing too extreme; just a bit more HP so as to make driving in modern traffic a little easier. There are a few very minor dings in the body, which all emanate from garage incidents over the years. The car probably needs a tune up and could afford to have the brakes bled. Both of these needs are largely due to the fact that, other than starting it up occasionally or taking it for a quick spin around the block, I haven't driven the car much in the past couple of years. Otherwise, it runs and drives well. Handles like a Porsche. The odometer reads 113,000, but there are fewer than 3,000 miles on the motor since it was rebuild and put back on the road in late 2002 early 2003. I will note that the odometer cable is broken-- shortly after it was put pack on the road. I have a replacement, but I have not installed it. The body is completely rust free and the car has never been hit. It has spent almost its entire life in a garage, which will become immediately apparent upon inspection. Tires are virtually new; fewer than 500 miles. I am happy to answer any questions.
