Vehicle Detail

For Sale- 1974 Oldsmobile Omega 2 Door V8 Coupe. Clean, clean, clean! This car is an unmolested survivor with only 32K original miles. I bought this car recently for my fiancé (she is a GM X-Body fan), but she has now decided that she wants something different, so here the Olds sits on eBay for your viewing pleasure. The Rocket 350 V8 engine runs like a top, and the Turbo 350 trans shifts smooth and perfect. Options from the factory- A/C, power brakes (disc up front), power steering, 10-Bolt open rear, two-tone white on black interior. When I say the car is unmolested, that's exactly what I mean. Other than 6x9 speaker holes being cut in the rear package tray, absolutely no modifications have been made to this car. All Air Conditioning components are still present. Only the compressor belt has been removed, but the compressor spins freely. (Belt was removed when R12 went out. System will need R134 conversion to be functional.) The interior is a nice white on black. (White seats and panels, black dash and carpet. The windows all go up and down easy, and the door locks function as they should. The back seat is perfect, and the front seat only has two rips in the seams. The carpet is good except for a small wear spot/tear beginning in the driver's floor area. (You wouldn't notice it with a floor mat installed.) The dash pad is in great condition, and the original radio is still there (doesn't work, unfortunately). All gauges and idiot lights work, and the steering wheel is perfect. Only some of the cluster backlighting is out. (Bulbs.) Car could use a headliner, it doesn't sag, but it's just not that pretty. The floor pans, rockers, sub frame, and trunk areas are ALL SOLID! This is one of the best GM X-Body cars that I have seen in original unrestored condition. There is the usual rust at the bottom of the fenders and around the rear wheel well areas as is typical of GM cars of the time, but not bad at all. There is some rust on the inside of the front and rear bumpers. Please see pictures for details. There are two bulls-eye chips in the front windshield about the size of nickels, but not in the driver's line of sight. all other glass is flawless. The car shows evidence of a re-spray of the original paint color at some time, but no body work and no Bondo. Car has a new battery and a fresh oil change. The trans fluid looks/smells fresh, the same with the PS fluid. I haven't been through the brake system, but the power brakes work like they should. The exhaust was replaced in recent years. Sounds good for a single exhaust system. The Bad- - There is an oil leak at the oil pressure sending unit/switch. It's a $6 part, and I will try and fix it before the car is picked up. - There is an intermittent coolant leak at the bottom of the radiator, possibly at the lower hose. Easy fix either way. - The right rear axle bearing is going out. I can hear noise/feel vibration at speed. - Driver's door hinge a bit worn, but not bad (you can feel a little play) - Rust on the front of the dashboard at the base of the front windshield - Right turn signal out (need a tail light bulb) - Original radio doesn't work - Missing carpet-trim piece on lower portion of driver's door panel The Olds runs great, and can be driven onto a trailer or car hauler with no problem. I drive it a around the block, and have had it up to 45, but like I said, the right rear axle bearing is going out, and will need to be changed. It wouldn't take much to make this a daily driver, and not much more to make it a really nice car. Clean title. Also have the original owner's manual and glove box docs that will go with the car. Feel free to email, call, or text me with any questions or to make an offer. 757 927-1582 . Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. A $500 deposit via PayPal is required upon purchase. The balance can be paid in cash in person, but I will accept partial payment of up to $1000 via PayPal. (we can discuss further at time of purchase) Car is sold as-is where-is. No warranty is implied or offered. Selling only within the continental US only. No international sale or shipping. Thanks for looking and Happy Rodding!
