1986 Honda 250es

You are looking at a lightly restored 1986 250es. I bought this machine a year ago from the original owner. It had been sitting in his shed unused for a few years when I got it. The original tank had rust on the inside and a poor lining job, the left rear fender had a small crack, and there was no battery nor did it run. I went out and bought another oem fender for the left side and installed it. I then got another metal oem fuel tank that was clean inside and had the exterior fixed and re-painted and re-decaled at a professional body shop. No more lining in the tank because it is very clean and it looks amazing with the new paint and decals. I went through the carb and bumped up the pilot jet two sizes to help with cold starts, especially with the cold winters here in Wisconsin. With the carb done, a new air filter and a new battery this baby now fires up and runs amazing. It runs smooth and the engine is nice and quiet. I also took off all the racks, hondaline nerf bars, and front basket to have sand blasted and repainted. The racks are in very nice shape and are not bent or damaged as they look as if there were never really used. The seat is still the original cover and does have some cracks in the corners of it. I debated on replacing it with an aftermarket replica but as of yet I have stuck with the original waiting to find a nice oem seat to just swap with it. The original owner installed hand and thumb warmers for the winter months, both still work. As it sits this is a very clean example of an 86 250es. This is in collectable condition, it is very nice but not 100% perfect. I have a small collection of 86 model year Honda's and this is probably the second nicest one I have. The other trikes in the last picture are not for sale. Honestly I will not be heart broken if this one doesn't sell either but if it does it will help fund my new cycle purchase.
