The Details; This 1971 LTD convertible has a nice body with good panel fit. It was repainted in 1992 in Candy Apple Red urethane a driver quality repaint completed which still presents well remember this a driver not a show car. There is minor thru rust on corner of the rocker been the like that for the past 10 years it has been kept in the garage I never used it in off season months. The chrome, trim and emblems are in fairly good original condition. The glass is all good in the car. The red with cloth seat inserts interior is nice usable condition and still shows very nicely. The convertible top is power operated and the power top motor was recently replaced and operates up and down smoothly. The Mechanics; The heart of this is LTD Convertible is strong running original 400 V-8 engine that has only 123k original miles. The factory 400 V-8 is mated to a bulletproof factory C-6 Automatic transmission with floor shift console that is smooth shifting and makes it a pleasure to drive. The performance is excellent with power to spare. It has rare factory air conditioning but the compressor was removed when I installed a new power steering pump I never put compressor back I have all the original AC parts and they are included in the sale. Here is the recent mechanical work I've completed; Front-end was rebuilt, new front springs & shocks, new front brake calipers & hoses, rear brakes completely rebult, new power top motor, new power steering pump and more. The mechanics are well sorted and driver ready.
