It has decent bright red paint, its powered by a 350 engine, the transmission is a 4 speed manual, the rear-end a 12 bolt, nice interior, American Racing wheels and more. VIN: 9KKJ49092 MILES: Its reading 66030 and probally has a lot more. HISTORY: I can not tell you a lot and I can not varify anything. This is what I was told, a guy from southern Ohio owned the car, he died and his family sold it. WARNING!! If you don't want a Old School Hot Rod this car is not for you!By Old School this is the way I see it done. The car is done in shinny bright read paint, the interior is custom, it has a bigger engine, it has a 4 speed manual transmission, it has a big cam, it has a heavy duty pressure plate that takeS a foot to mash, it has dumby dual spot lights, it has timing gears not a timing chain (it give a whinning sound that some guys like), it has add on gauges and a tach, it has American Racing wheels, it still has drum brakes and manual steering. If you want a smooth Granny crusier this car is not for you, if you want Old School Hot Rod you may love it. HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT? I see no signs of a major accident, the frame looks straight, I see no big kinks in the sheet metal. HAS THE CAR GOT ANY BODY FILER/BONDO? I see no rusty holes on the outside of the car, no big swelled places, and no big wavy places. I don't think I have ever seen a car with no filer, it probally has some somewhere. ENGINE: If you like a big cam, timing gears and the chrome dressed out look, "you may like this one". The engine is a 350 with the casting numbers being 3970014, the web site I looked at said the engine was for a 1970 through a 1973 Camaro. It has a electric fuel pump and a Summit Racing carb made by Holley. The engine has timing gears, not a timing chain, some guys consider this better and like the whine from the gears. TRANSMISSION: Its a 4 speed manual, the clutch and pressure plate are high performance, hard pedal because of hight pressure plate pressure. REAR-END: Its a good 12 bolt. STEERING: Original steering, it is not power, you have to give it some muscle. BRAKES: Drums all around, they stop like you would think drums would, you have to give them a heavy foot, they are not power. PAINT: Decent shine on the red paint and it has no big dents, it looks good on this car. It has several little defects, it is not perfect paint under inspection. Its just a good looking driver quality. You will have to pay a lot more than the price of this car to get perfect paint. "I think the paint is fine, its just not a perfect $20,000 paint job". CHROME: Most of the chrome shines good, it does have a few little defects. The hood and trunk bezels are badly pitted. Bumpers look good. WHEELS AND TIRES: American Racing wheels with decent tire, they could be balanced a little better. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Full tube header with Muscle car sounding mufflers, it is not new, but good used condition with turned down exhaust. INTERIOR: The headliner is nice, the carpet has minor wear, door panels good, but have some stains and seat covers good. The steering wheel needs refinished. GLASS: The windshield is good, 2 of the side windows have small cracks. FRAME AND UNDERSIDE: The floors look original to me and in good condition, the inner rockes have a couple of very thin rust places (look at pictures). The frame is good, the 2 cross braces near the header tubes have been notched for header clearance. Its just a old driver quality car on the underside, not beautiful, but I think it is good. LIGHTS: The headlights work, the tail lights work, the turns signals work, the brake lights work. GAUGES: They are mounted in a cluster in the dash, the oil and temp work, the volt meter works wrong (it reads high). GLASS: Windshield is good, back window good, drivers side windows good, passengers side window both have a very fine crack. SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WIPERS WORK! HORN IS NOT WORKING! TACHOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE IS NOT WORKING: It is old 6 volt and the system is not a 12 volt, past owner has a new sending unit that will come with the car, but system will need a 12 to 6 reducer at the least. HISTORY: I can not tell you a lot and I can not varify anything. This is what I was told, a guy from southern Ohio owned the car, he died and his family sold it.
WARNING!! If you don't want a Old School Hot Rod this car is not for you! By Old School this is the way I see it done. The car is done in shinny bright read paint, the interior is custom, it has a bigger engine, it has a 4 speed manual transmission, it has a big cam, it has a heavy duty pressure plate that takeS a foot to mash, it has dumby dual spot lights, it has timing gears not a timing chain (it give a whinning sound that some guys like), it has add on gauges and a tach, it has American Racing wheels, it still has drum brakes and manual steering. If you want a smooth Granny crusier this car is not for you, if you want Old School Hot Rod you may love it.
HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT? I see no signs of a major accident, the frame looks straight, I see no big kinks in the sheet metal.
HAS THE CAR GOT ANY BODY FILER/BONDO? I see no rusty holes on the outside of the car, no big swelled places, and no big wavy places. I don't think I have ever seen a car with no filer, it probally has some somewhere.
ENGINE: If you like a big cam, timing gears and the chrome dressed out look, "you may like this one". The engine is a 350 with the casting numbers being 3970014, the web site I looked at said the engine was for a 1970 through a 1973 Camaro. It has a electric fuel pump and a Summit Racing carb made by Holley. The engine has timing gears, not a timing chain, some guys consider this better and like the whine from the gears.
TRANSMISSION: Its a 4 speed manual, the clutch and pressure plate are high performance, hard pedal because of hight pressure plate pressure.
REAR-END: Its a good 12 bolt.
STEERING: Original steering, it is not power, you have to give it some muscle.
BRAKES: Drums all around, they stop like you would think drums would, you have to give them a heavy foot, they are not power.
PAINT: Decent shine on the red paint and it has no big dents, it looks good on this car. It has several little defects, it is not perfect paint under inspection. Its just a good looking driver quality. You will have to pay a lot more than the price of this car to get perfect paint. "I think the paint is fine, its just not a perfect $20,000 paint job".
CHROME: Most of the chrome shines good, it does have a few little defects. The hood and trunk bezels are badly pitted. Bumpers look good.
WHEELS AND TIRES: American Racing wheels with decent tire, they could be balanced a little better.
EXHAUST SYSTEM: Full tube header with Muscle car sounding mufflers, it is not new, but good used condition with turned down exhaust.
INTERIOR: The headliner is nice, the carpet has minor wear, door panels good, but have some stains and seat covers good. The steering wheel needs refinished.
GLASS: The windshield is good, 2 of the side windows have small cracks.
FRAME AND UNDERSIDE: The floors look original to me and in good condition, the inner rockes have a couple of very thin rust places (look at pictures). The frame is good, the 2 cross braces near the header tubes have been notched for header clearance. Its just a old driver quality car on the underside, not beautiful, but I think it is good.
LIGHTS: The headlights work, the tail lights work, the turns signals work, the brake lights work.
GAUGES: They are mounted in a cluster in the dash, the oil and temp work, the volt meter works wrong (it reads high).
GLASS: Windshield is good, back window good, drivers side windows good, passengers side window both have a very fine crack.
SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WIPERS WORK!
HORN IS NOT WORKING!
TACHOMETER WORKS!
GAS GAUGE IS NOT WORKING: It is old 6 volt and the system is not a 12 volt, past owner has a new sending unit that will come with the car, but system will need a 12 to 6 reducer at the least.
