The vehicle in this auction is owned by a private individual and is not the property of Rising Sun Cycles. 1971 Volkswagen Beetle convertible, low miles rarely driven older restoration. There is a thick folder full of parts and repair orders from around 2000/2001 when the car was restored and the current owner has barely driven it since that was all done. The top is in excellent shape as is the interior. Exterior looks great as well. The car is not museum perfect but definitely a very good condition driver. In the last 5 months it has had the fuel flushed and changed, carb rebuilt and engine tuned up, new fuel sending unit, valve cover gaskets replaced and glovebox latch replaced. Engine has chrome valve covers. The radio was upgraded to an AM/FM cassette deck but that can probably be swapped for either a newer CD or original style without much issue. Tires are in excellent shape with great tread life remaining and no dry cracking. The engine does have some oil leaks that you would typically see out of an older VW. This is a good example of a good looking classic Beetle that you can buy and drive and not have to worry about. No warranty expressed or implied.
