Vehicle Detail
Here is a nice, Rust-Free and collectible 1979 Ford F-100 Stepside Pickup! This truck has lived its entire life in the south, and has been well maintained. Daily driven, the 351 V-8 fires right up, drives straight and true and has great power! A previous owner had added tubular headers, a performance cam, an Edelbrock aluminum manifold and Holley 4 barrel carb-which further adds to the V-8's rumble. It has chrome tipped fender exiting dual exhausts and a K&N air filter as well. The C-6 automatic transmission is smooth with crisp shifts, and everything (including the factory Air Conditioning) works great! Runs strong, although the cam has a bit more lope in it than I like (my son really likes it the way it is!). The new looking red cloth/vinyl interior is nice and undamaged, and includes a Custom Autosound stereo system with amp and subwoofer along with upgraded speakers. Good tinted glass all around with no cracks, and windows function properly. In the past few months, we've had the brakes replaced, serviced the air conditioning (converted to R134A-newer style refrigerant), serviced the engine (replaced all fluids, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, etc.), replaced the battery and rotated the tires. For appearance sake, we replaced the wheel center caps and windshield chromed trim-but other than that, we've just driven and enjoyed it! New truck purchase has induced us to sell, although we wish we could keep it-it'll only increase in value! Just to be clear, this is a used pickup that is 35 years old. If you are expecting such to drive like a new one, please do yourself a favor and buy a new one! The pickup does drive much as it did when new, with no issues. As is common with most of this year of the V-8, it does drip a little bit of oil-not so much that it was a problem and it could be fixed by someone with the time to dedicate (new seals are pretty inexpensive-I just don't have the time!). Also, the paint is intact, but has faded a bit on top of the hood, roof and fenders-could be buffed out-again-by someone with the time to do it! Tires are good Kelly Charger Radials, and will last awhile (more than half the tread left) and the American Racing aluminum wheels look nice with their new center caps! This truck needs nothing-drive it anywhere! Clean, clear Texas Title, no accident history, passed recent safety inspection and registered in Texas. I can meet you at the DFW international airport and you can drive it home! I will work with your shipper if needed, but shipping cost is up to you. Title will be transferred upon receipt of payment in full, cash preferred (deposit required upon winning auction)-no transfer will occur prior to funds clearing if you are wiring funds or using any type of check (and we prosecute scammers!). Really nice collectible truck-you will be pleased!
