For sale is a beautiful 1978 Corvette Silver 25th Anniversary Edition with matching numbers, the desirable L82 engine (350, 220HP), and t-top. She has the turbo hydra-matic transmission, the original radio with the rare CB radio option, and functioning power antenna. The interior is in great shape, in the original oyster colored leather seats. It does show some discoloration, but is in great shape for its age. She also has new tires, and breaks. The paint still has a lot of gleam. There some nicks and chips in the front and the side of car, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a car that's 35+ years old. The power antenna works but just needs new a fuse. The passenger window needs to be put back on the track because it is currently stuck in the down position, but there are no problems with the window motor. The car has never seen rain or salt, so the interior, paint, and chassis have been well protected from the elements. Both headlights pop up and retract from the dashboard controls, and all of the interior lighting works. The passenger's side headlight gets stuck from time to time, but it's a simple alignment fix. All of the gauges are fully functional, except for the clock. The engine has matching numbers. The engine ID is V0123CMS and the engine VIN derivative is 18S420622. This car was manufactured on February 16, 1978 and the engine ID predates the car manufactured date and the derivative matches up with the VIN. The car is mostly original. The car has the original alternator, interior, radio with CB, spare tire, windows, power windows, driver and passenger mirrors, gas cap and lid, wiper blades, etc. The car was just recently brought to Corvette of Westchester for a tune up. She drives straight, shifts smooth and is a comfortable ride. Recent work at Corvette of Weschester was done within the last year and includes major tune-up (air filter, PCV valve, breather, oil and filter, fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor, spark plug and wires and idle and timing adjusted), new fuel pump, changed coolant and changed transmission fluid.
