1979 Pontiac Trans Am 10th Anniversary edition. Limited production, only 7,500 were made, 5,683 with the automatic transmission. The 10th Anniversary model was the only one to come with silver leather interior, red backlit dash gauges, aluminum "turbo" style wheels, and the largest bird ever put on a Trans Am extending off the hood onto the fenders. It was also only available with every option, most importantly T Tops, the WS6 suspension package, 4 wheel disc brakes (first year available), air, cruise, and power everything. Has the original numbers matching 6.6 Litre 403 cubic inch engine and automatic transmission. 1979 was the last year the 6.6 Litre engine was available. The car is mostly original, clean, and most importantly rust free. It was delivered to Canada when new and immediately undercoated. As originally a Canadian car, the speedometer and odometer are in Kilometers (79,532 kilometers = 49,419 miles). No rust, with original paint and decals. Body is as solid as you will find. Original paint and decals are faded in areas, "driver quality" as it sits. Runs great, has great oil pressure, shifts smooth, dash and seats like new, tires and rims are nice. Could use a new windshield which is supposedly about $175, and sounds like it has a small exhaust leak. Also the rear view mirror won't stay on the windshield post and the power radio antenna doesn't go down. These 2nd generation Trans Ams are appreciating in value.
