Vehicle Detail

This car is by no means a Garage Queen, it has been driven and enjoyed its whole life. Unfortunately, I have too many cars and just don't have the time to enjoy it. It is a 1990 964 C4 5 speed. I purchased it approximately 10 years ago and am the second owner. The orginal owner was a doctor and the 964 was his daily driver used to visit his various clincs. It was dealer mainted most of its whole life. The vehicle has around 264,000 miles on it. I am currently driving the car and it is working fine but as you would expect it is not perfect. Paint / Body - Grand Prix White - The paint looks great from a distance but should be resprayed. It was involved in a very minor vehicle accident before I purchased it that dented the front fender and the repair can be seen if you look closely. The damage was limited to a small dent in the fender only. There is a little surface rust on the front door caused by a door ding which I have removed. The car has door dings etc. here and there but nothing serious. When I purchased the vehicle there was a little rust around the windshield cowl. I had it repaired with new metal soon after purchasing it and the rust never returned. Interior - The interior in my view is excellent. No rips /tears and no dash cracks. Everything works as it should including HVAC but I haven't tried AC yet this year, it was working last year. The front trunk relase broke but I purchased a new one that I have yet to install. The front door latch sometimes sticks. Engine - the engine starts right up with good oil pressure and has never caused me grief . It has a few small oil drips, most likely caused by the car not being driven enough. I replaced the clutch a few years back. The oil level sender is not working. I replaced it last year because the old one was leaking and I suspect it's just needs to have my wiring splice redone. The transmission shifts through all its gears smoothly. The battery is getting a little tire and probably should be replaced. Due to the high mileage I did buy a low mileage set of matching cylinders, pistons and heads in case I ever wanted to rebuild the top end which are included in the sale. The car is all original never been abused but driven and maintained. It is an excellent canidate for restoration / track car or just drive it as is. I am located in New Brunswick Canada, it is originally a USA vehicle so shipping to USA or Canada should pose no problems. I am located only 1 hour drive from the Maine border. Please don't hesitate to ask me questions etc. I have absoluley nothing to hide will try to accomodate your requests. The sale is strictly as is where is with no warranties given or implied. The car has to be picked up in a timely manner after 1 month a $80/month storage fee will apply (what I get charged to store the vehicle). I will not store the car for extended period of time but will work with you to arrange shipping / pickup. A $500 non refundable deposit is require within 48 hours of the auction end. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser but I will assist to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking. On 20-Aug-14 at 18:49:28 EDT, seller added the following information: As requested I added additional pictures of the front trunk and underside of the car. - The PDAS and 4WD system works as it should with no warning lights. The PDAS pump was replaced by the dealer shortly before I purchased the car and has very few miles on it. - The rear spoiler rises and retracts properly with no warning lights. - The underside has no obvious signs of corrosion and appears to be in very good condition. - The centre reflector plastic has separated a little from its housing and the there is a small crack in the rear spoiler plastic. On 21-Aug-14 at 17:42:05 EDT, seller added the following information: As requested, I have added a youtube video showing the interior and motor running. You can find the video by searching "Porsche 964 interior video Saint John NB" or go to this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT-HdgJmSpg&feature=youtu.be I apologize for the poor video quality. I will try to upload a better one tomorrow. On 21-Aug-14 at 18:12:46 EDT, seller added the following information: More answers to your questions: - All the brake pads were just replaced a few weeks ago, including new wear sensors. I believe one of the sensors is not connected properly causing the brake pad warning light to go off. - I also just changed the oil and filter and unfortunately spilled some oil in the engine bay and onto the heat exchangers, that is why the engine underside looks wet. The car leaked a couple of tablespoons of oil during its winter hibernation. - I will assist with shipping if possible. I live only 1 hour from Calais, Maine and within driving distance to the Port of Halifax.
