Vehicle Detail

I love this car and I'm sure you will, too. I'm only selling it because the timing belt broke on another European sports car and the engine rebuild is costing a small fortune. I can sum up the car in two sentences. This is the perfect car for someone who wants to have fun driving a classic Porsche for under $20K. It is not the right car for a collector who wants a perfect specimen. More pics are available here: https : //plus . google . c*m /photos/106496459962945629417/albums/5950623109210226913 Let's start with the bad stuff: The odometer stuck at 78K before I bought it from a collector in Nashville three years ago. He said he'd put 10K on it. I haven't put 3K on it. (Mainly I just go to the garage and look at it.) I think 90K is a fair estimate. All 911s leak oil, but this one leaks more oil than average. It's not enough to affect the drive but enough to mess up your driveway. I estimate it's about one tablespoon per drive. I've had three mechanics look at it and they have given me three different diagnoses. It's either a cylinder gasket, the oil thermostat, or an oil return line. The engine has to come out to nail down the problem. It's been like this for well over a year and it hasn't gotten any worse. I'm happy to add a little oil each month and call it good. The lever on the front passenger seat doesn't work, so it is really difficult to make that seat fold forward. The radio faceplate has been stolen. Neither the hood nor the engine cover will stay up on their own. Here are the "issues" that turn off collectors. White isn't the original color. The whale tale and the wheels are aftermarket. (I think they are cooler than the original, but that's just me.) Here is the good stuff: It's a Porsche 911 Targa Sport Coupe. Everything works. Even the courtesy light.Targa top is immaculate. No leaks. No water damage. Garage kept.No dents or dings. Perfectly straight.Interior is in great shape. I had seat belts welded in the back for our kids.No cracks in dash.A/C is solid.Original tool kit.New battery. That's about it. If you have specific questions, feel free to shoot me an email. Thanks for taking the time to read all this.
