For Sale: 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 SR5-Pkg I am selling this well-cared for Toyota Tacoma for a friend, who is the original owner since purchased new in 2003. This is a female owned vehicle with 178,500 original miles that is overall, in very clean condition both in appearance and mechanical condition. I have personally driven the vehicle and it runs excellent, with plenty of power from the DOHC V-6. Everything works as it should with no surprises, or hidden issues. This was a lightly driven (never off-roaded or abused) truck. The owner maintained meticulous service records of all maintenance and repairs performed from day one. Engine/Drivetrain Condition: Engine starts and runs excellent no known issues, with plenty of torque and throttle response, no smoke or, overheating, recent timing belt and water pump service, mobil-1 oil used at first change with regular servicing of belts, hoses, battery etc. Recent exhaust replacement, including cat-converters. Transmission, differential, transfer-case, and electronic 4x4 drive, all in proper working condition. (Please note that the truck is still being used occasionally, so the mileage stated will change. Body/Frame Condition: The truck was inspected by Toyota (recall), and no issues with frame corrosion found; additional undercoating was applied during that inspection. Only light, undercarriage, surface rust in non-structural areas are present (see photos). This is a 10-year old vehicle, so there are some scratches and door dings present (see pictures) overall, the paint and finish is glossy and shows well with no body panel rust. Please note that there was minor, cosmetic, front end damage from an accident that was professionally repaired. Brake/Wheel/Hubs: Brakes work as they should with, excellent bite no shudder or vibrations, no howling or wheel bearing noises, the 16”alloy wheels have light brake dust discoloration, but overall in nice condition free of dents and curb-rash. The oversize, 265-70-16 BF Goodrich Rugged-Trail tires have approx. 70% tread remaining. Interior Condition: The SR-5 optioned interior, overall, is clean with all the electrical components working as they should, the HVAC, lights, gauges, door-locks windows, etc., all in working order. Owner has installed an aftermarket CD player with mp3 adapter. Upholstery and carpets are in nice condition, with no stains, rips or tears. This was a non-smoker vehicle. In conclusion this is a very strong running, well cared for truck that is priced below the NADA ‘clean’ private party value. The owner is willing to negotiate some, but if you are looking for a ‘screaming-deal’, please look elsewhere in your search for a clean, well-cared-for Tacoma. Also, please keep in mind that this is a used vehicle, and although its current condition has been disclosed to the best of my knowledge, the vehicle is being sold as is with no warranty stated or implied.
