Since I retired this is my first Jeep and it has been a great hobby. I have enjoyed it so much I am going to purchase a 2014. I am the second owner and am a big believer of "maintain it regularly and you won't be stranded on the side of the road". I would drive this Jeep anywhere because I know it is maintained. The following have been added or replaced in the last 200 miles because I felt it was time. Four new Goodyear Wrangler tires and four new shocks. Timing belt, serpentine belt and water pump changed. Oil, filter, air filter and spark plugs. Two brighter halogen headlights. The fun things added in the last three months have been a new Quadratec Bimini Plus top and new Sony CD/MP3/IPOD/Pandora and Sirius radio with remote and detachable face plate. Two new Polk Audio marine grade speakers in the overhead and two new Pioneer speakers in the dash. The following were added by the original owner, Wire headlight, turn signal and rear light covers, brush bar on front and a steel tube rack that goes over the roof. It is great for carrying my canoe or you could use it to carry long items such as surfboard, lumber or skies, etc. The engine does not burn oil or smoke and the clutch is good. I get better mpg than the government rating but I drive pretty conservatively. The paint is shiny and I regularly wash and wax it. It does have some stone chips/light scratches but remember it is a 03 Jeep. There is a bubble on the tailgate door but you will see from the pictures that the body and frame are very clean and solid. The soft top did not leak when I took it off but the rear zip-in window was challenging to zip. I think the top is original and a new one would not be a bad idea if you plan to drive it in bad weather. I bought it without a rear seat and never bought one because my Lab rides back there. It makes a nice space for groceries or play gear. Since I have owned it it has not been driven in the snow and maybe a few times in a surprise rain shower. With the bimini top on I only drive it in good weather. The rims are used OEM Jeep and I purchased them about 6 months ago. Any scrapes on them were there when I bought them used. I will also include the original steel wheel rims to the next owner.
