Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is this 1969 GS 400 Hardtop. Ram Air 400. Turbo 400 Transmission. Factory A/C. Power steering and power disc brakes. Factory AM-FM radio. Road wheels. The VIN number shows this a REAL GS 400. An elderly couple purchased this car new at Graham Buick in Omaha. NE. When they passed the Buick mechanic who had serviced the car purchased it from the daughter. We purchased it from the mechanic when his wife wanted a pontoon boat in 2009. He stated the miles were actual and odometer had not turned over. Drive it and this is obvious. Car drives like new with no squeaks or rattles. Doors shut like a bank vault. This car has its original paint and original bench seat with column shift interior. Always garaged and maintained. Recent stainless steel exhaust. Solid survivor type car that could be driven home anywhere. The engine and transmission are original to the car and have never been apart. Car is not perfect as it has been driven and NEVER restored. Everything works as it should although the A/C is not cold this year. Also the clock does not work. Remote outside mirror needs a cable. Still works fine manually. The lacquer paint still has a shine to it but is showing its age. Interior is very nice and completely original. Has the factory Buick floor mats that were delivered with the car along with the owners manual and accessories booklet. Solid floors and trunk. Not a rust bucket. Not many GM A body muscle cars in original condition available in this price range. Inspection is encouraged and welcomed. Email any questions and we will answer promptly. NO SCAMMERS! If you have less than 10 transactions you MUST email us first. Thanks! Will consider reasonable offer. On Aug-17-14 at 10:09:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Seems the only serious buyer that we have is overseas. If anyone is interested here in the states, email reasonable offers and we can set up a buy it now. thanks. On Aug-18-14 at 09:55:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Looked the car over this AM and could not find a rust perforation anywhere. Hemmings Muscle Car Buyers Guide and Haggerty Insurance Price Index show an AVERAGE value of $17,000 plus for this car. This car is way above average. Add in the LOW miles and originality and this car SHOULD bring $20,000. LOW value is in the $14,000 range. Not a restored rust bucket or pieced together clone. If this was an SS396 or GTO it would bring break the bank $$$$$$. Car starts right up and the automatic choke works as it should. NO ticks, knocks or blue smoke. Turbo 400 shifts like new and has the switch pitch feature that also works as it should. Interior is close to perfect and all ORIGINAL. Glass is all good and windows operate as they should. All seatbelts and front shoulder harnesses are intact and operate as they should. Would have to look long and hard to find another GS 400 in this condition. Have an overseas offer in the LOW range. If anyone is SERIOUS about owning this piece of muscle car history step up to the plate and bid. Hate to see this car go over the pond.
