FOR SALE A USED 1977 TRIUMPH TR7 Engine rebuilt in 1994 (has approximately 45,000 on since rebuild) When I purchased this TR7 in 1994 speedometer read 75765 - The TR7 speedometer does not show 100,000. so it currently reads 20474. So the car has 120,474 miles on it BUT it has many things replace since 1994 when it was purchased. Engine is a 2.0 liter overhead cam 4 cyclinder 5 Speed Transmission Dual Zenith Stromberg Carburators with K&N Air Filter Automatic choke replaced with Manual Choke Conversion Kit 2000 Koni suspension installed in 2000 Pace Setter headers installed in 2000 Anti-dive kit installed in 2000 New bushings installed in 2000 Interior installed in 2000 New fuel tank installed in 2000 Clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing replace in 2000 Old Factory vinyl pull back sunroof removed and custom stayfast pull back sunroof installed 2000 Oil canister was removed and spin on oil filter conversion kit installed in 2000 Flex-lite electric fan adjustable installed 2011 (radiator boiled out and pressure checked as a precaution during this install) New heater/airconditioner box installed in dash in 2011 New windshield in 2011 Rear wheel cylinder replaced 2014 Headlight switch replaced 2014 This TR7 was a daily driver until 2012 when my son got married a decided a station wagon was more a family car. It is now driven by me about once a week. It has been serviced regularly. Mobil 1 10w40 full synthetic in winter and Mobil 1 15w50 full synthetic in summer is the only oil used this car since it has been in our family (1994) Has a current Virginia state inspection We were using ATF Type F transmission fluid in 5 speed. It always had a slow drip ( which seems to be normal since Triumph put out a service update in 1980s to switch to ATF Type F) Earlier this year watching a Triumph TR7 blog I noticed that many TR7 owners had same problem. Many TR7 owners on blog switched to Penzoil Sychromesh Manual Transmission Fluid - it has resolved the transmission drip problem. Motorized headlights work as they should ISSUES WITH TR7 Rubber headlight boots missing In May of 2014 the Air Conditioning Compressor stopped working. Drivers seat shows signs of wear near door. Dent in top between windshield and pull back sunroof (it does drip a little when driving down road at 60 mph and it is raining hard.) Green paint on passenger rear quarter panel (thanks to dishonest driver in parking lot) Minor chips, dings and fading in paint. The paint job is 14 years old. Minor cracks in paint around drivers headlight and trunk. The paint has water spots in it, this did not start until last year when I used Carnuba wax on it. I have not tried to compound it out as it looks good from 10 to 15 feet away. Minor rust in drivers side floor pan. Plastic Brake reservoir cracked and repaired with epoxy All of these issued can be seen in pictures - use the supersize function. I have tried to cover everything about this car.
