FOR SALE: 1986(E) Corvette. Asking $4000, willing to negotiate. This car would make an awesome first car for any Corvette lover. I have a write up that exhaustively describes the car and what's been done to it; however, Ebay keeps flagging it for profanity. so I will be more than happy to email you that write up. Here's the bottom line:Mechanically the car runs like a top. Fires right up and once it warms up idles rock solid at 750rpm. (It does idle hunt a little when its cold but won't stall. It's nothing abnormal.) Chevy small block 350 bored out to a 355, completely rebuilt. Roller rockers, custom intake runners and plenum, and ceramic headers really bring out some serious power, this car is a torque monster. Custom exhaust sounds amazing especially through tunnels. Custom ZR1 wheels give you 22 inches of tire in the rear and she'll still break loose in 2nd gear. Custom red leather interior with charcoal carpets. Previous owner tried to dye the shifter boot red as well, the dye is flaking off in spots but overall looks sharp. The car comes with a removable targa top and a targa truss to reinforce the frame (this is nothing faulty with the car, every 4th generation corvette suffers from frame flex. My brother in laws 94 Toyota supra does the same thing.)The bad:So in 2010 my Corvette was subjected to a freak tornado (yes I have pictures I know this sounds outrageous) that ripped the hood off my car. Because Corvettes have a clam shell style hood, when the hood was ripped open it slammed down on top of the front bumper. I cannot emphasize this enough, the car is mechanically and structurally sound!! The damage was strictly cosmetic. Since the storm I have replaced the hood but the hood is a metallic blue and the rest of the car is a dark blue. I wore it as a badge of honor but some people go crazy over things like that (completely understandable) its a sanding and paint job away from being whole again. I understand this write up is kind of half way done. I apologize for the inconvenience, I am currently stationed in Afghanistan.
