IT IS FINSIHED IN THE MOST POPULAR MERCEDES COLOR OF 040 BLACK AND COMPLIMENTED WITH A PARCHMENT LEATHER INTERIOR. WE HAVE EVERY PIECE OF PAPERWORK ON THE CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW INCLUDING EVERY MAINTENANCE RECEIPT, WINDOW STICKER, ALL BOOKS AND ALL OF THE ORIGINAL KEYS, PLUS IT HAS A CLEAN CARFAX REPORT. THESE WAS USED PRIMARY AT A VACATION HOUSE HERE IN SUNNY RUST FREE ARIZONA AND HAS NEVER BEEN EXPOSED TO HARSH WEATHER OF ANY KIND. 1997 WAS THE LAST YEAR FOR THE 6 CYLINDER SL MODEL AND IS IDENTICAL TO THE 1996 MODEL YEAR WHICH ARE BOTH HIGHLY DESIRABLE. THEY REQUIRE QUITE A BIT LESS MAINTENANCE THEN THE 8 AND 12 CYLINDER SL MODELS AND ARE QUITE A BIT MORE FUEL EFFICIENT. IT IS POWERED BY THE 3.2 LITER 228 HORSEPOWER MOTOR AND BACKS TO A 5 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE PAINT AND BODY ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND THE CAR SHOWS VERY NICE FROM EVERY ANGLE. AT WORST THERE ARE A FEW SMALL PARKING LOT DINGS AND SOME MINOR STONE CHIPS HERE AND THERE. IT HAS BOTH TOPS AND THE HARDTOP HAD BEEN ON THE CAR FOR THE MAJORITY OF IT'S LIFE SO WHEN WE OPENED UP THE SOFT TOP IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS BRAND NEW. THE INTERIOR IS ODOR FREE AND VERY CLEAN. IT SHOWS MINIMAL WEAR AND THE ONLY THING WORTH MENTIONING IS SOME CRACKING IN THE WOOD AROUND THE SHIFTER. EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD AND PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP IS EVIDENT. MECHANICALLY IT IS ALSO IN GREAT SHAPE AND HAS BEEN PROPERLY SERVICED IT'S ENTIRE LIFE AND WE HAVE ALL THE SERVICE RECORDS SINCE NEW.
