1938 Ford V8 Coupe 5 Window 2 Passenger Older Restoration Beautiful 1938 Standard Business Man's Ford Coupe. Original Flathead V8, 3 speed floor shift. Runs and drives as good as it looks! This is an older restoration ( Around 1988-1990) that has aged in some areas and has seen very little road use since. The body is in very good condition with minor paint flaws and a few areas where the older paint has spidered. The paint shines and shows very well but to be perfect I would recommend a full repaint if you plan to show the 38. The interior is in good condition but the headliner has two tears by the back windows and has some stains on the head liner as well. All switches and lights work, along with the manual choke and hand throttle. Front crank windshield. Fuel gauge works when it wants to but all other gauges work as they should. The flat head V8 starts up with the press of a button and settles into a smooth, quiet idle. The undercarriage is extremely clean along with the floors and body panels. Besides the paint being old and showing imperfections this 38 coupe is really a eye catcher. Since the restoration in the late 80's the car was purchased by the last owner in 1999 and was only driven around 20 miles till it was removed from storage just recently. She was always started on a regular bases. No rust. No leaks that I could find other then a leaky wheel cylinder on the passenger front wheel. Tires are dry rotted but do hold air. The engine starts up great and there's no smoke! Car come with a clear PA title and a 1938 License plate. Title reflects actual mileage at 39940! Truly a pleasure to drive,this '38 Ford Coupe is ready to drive! Spend some time this winter as a light cosmetic restoration project and you could have show piece! Or just enjoy it as is.
