My Friend is moving to Hawaii & therefor is selling his almost finished 3.0 CS BMW .The car is a driver & roadworthy , The stock engine has a new Cylinder head & a pair of new Weber carbs as well as a new Schneider cam with an Ireland Engineering Stainless steel header & new muffler system.New plug wires & coil are also fitted.The radiator is rebuilt & the car has very few local miles on it before the decision to sell was made.The brakes have been gone through & drilled rotors & new calipers were fitted , from Ireland Engineering.All 5 original wheels are restored along with the great condition hub caps, new tires are fitted. On the inside the seats were upholstered , new headliner, carpet & center console fitted , all the wood has been restored & airbrushed over the original wood for a custom appearance .The Nardi steering wheel was given the same treatment to complete the custom interior. The body was almost rust free , being a California car, the only rust was in the rocker & that was removed & repaired properly by Bob Cole Automotive in Long Beach CA. Bob also did all the prep & painted the Valencia Orange paint ( a BMW color) in fact a color i/d decal was custom made for under the hood. The car was completely stripped, prepped & painted by Bob.The front spoiler is from an original CSL car & is a BMW part not a repro. All the power window motors ( a notorious problem on CS coupes ) have been replace by later model BMW items so all the windows work, the front windshield in new also. The original auto trans was replace by a 5 speed so the fun factor was increased 100%. Work to finish ; Gas sender unit needs fixing , Wiper motor needs wiring , Original Tach needs to be wired up & the original turn signal switch was replaced with an after market unit (all lights work ) . Not a lot of work to finish up an awesome CS Coupe , there is a low reserve on the car , bid with confidence this is a great car & drives great as is.
