Vehicle Detail
This 1967 Corvette is a complete running and driving car that could be enjoyed as it is but more likely will be a candidate for restoration. The car retains its absolute positive original as built motor with a perfect undisturbed engine stamp pad. Built originally as a 327-300HP 4-speed car, The previous owner changed this car over to an automatic transmission, a 400 Turbo 3 speed, a number of years ago for his personal preference. The car is correct in its original color of Marina Blue with Bright Blue interior as verified by the original trim tag. Also, the options and build configuration are confirmed by the original tank sticker which is in poor condition. We also have secured the NCRS shipping documentation to confirm the original selling Dealer to be Tom Forsyth Chevrolet of Ziegerville Pa., again matching the tank sticker. Paint on the car failing and has numerous blisters and chips overall. The hood panel is not original as you see, it is a 427 style hood. Overall the body integrity is quite good with the following exception: The right quarter panel has a poor quality previous repair and would need replaced to correct what was done incorrectly. Otherwise body panel fit including hidden headlamps is quite good. There are other small stress cracks and drivers door has a split at top rear corner that needs attention. Please note: Paint is not as nice as it appears in photos. Interior is mostly original except for incorrect color (white) seat covers are incorrect color carpets that are in poor condition. RT side of dash pad is cracked extensively. Soft top is fair condition. Top frame is excellent. Clutch pedal assembly and 4 speed console are all still in place as it was originally. Spare tire canister is missing. Radio is an aftermarket -n-dash unit, dash is uncut. The original motor runs well, no known issues but admittedly we do not know when or how many miles have occurred since last rebuild. The automatic transmission functions properly and the car is equipped with power steering as per the build sheet. Factory Corvette side exhaust were added at some point and are in good condition. All 4 rally wheels are correct 15x7 in size with trim rings and 67 style center caps. The cars frame is not rust damaged or ever repaired but is overall dirty and surface rust is evident. Overall what we have here is a 67 Corvette Roadster with the original motor, built in the desirable color of Marina Blue and documentation including original tank sticker, original trim tag and NCRS shipping data report. The car is complete and drive-able but can be bought at an affordable price before it undergoes its next likely level of restoration. We are offering the car at a very realistic reserve price as we do intend to sell the car, not have it appraised. You are welcome to ask more questions or come see the car for yourself. Thru our description and photos we are striving to describe the car accurately. Odometer reads 36,312 but true mileage is unknown. On Jul-23-14 at 09:55:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Correction to listing: Car was in fact originally an automatic transmission but was converted in the past to a 4 speed. It is currently an automatic transmission.
