1970 351W Mustang Convertible recently rescued--literally--from a cow pasture in western Oregon. 8 years ago it ran and drove, but the last time it was registered was in 1996. There are NO brakes and it does NOT run! It does roll well and steer, so it's easy to load onto a trailer with a power winch or come-along by hand. The top was down and the car was not tarped when it was found. We hooked a jumper box to the battery cables and the power convertible top pump still worked(!) to raise the frame, although I can't latch it. The engine still has the factory tag, so I assume it's original, but I have not verified the VIN on the block. I have NOT tried to start it or done anything beyond turning the engine by hand with a socket. I assume the transmission is an FMX (original?) but the shift selector is stick in neutral. The door glass still rolls up and down readily, and most of the deluxe interior is present (including inner rear quarter panels) in rough condition. This Mustang would make a great project for someone with the skills and means to make it live again, or is an excellent and fairly complete donor for someone with a solid convertible body needing parts. Please look over my pictures thoroughly. The top half of the car is in better shape than the bottom half, and the front half of the underside (frame, etc) is in better shape than the rear half. What you see is what you get. If you don't see something, DO NOT assume I have it. Most parts appear to be present, but I didn't take the car apart, so I am certain there are lots of little things missing. I bolted the front seats in place so they'd be easier to deal with (2 bolts on each only) and just sat the rear seats up where they belong. The door panels were temporarily hung for my pictures and the cowl panel was just set in place as well. The doors do not open from the outside. The trunk has no lock. The car was pushed and pulled around the cow pasture with a tractor, hence the front bumper mostly ripped off and the smunched-in rear bumper... It's had a hard life. Ask questions before bidding.
