For sale is my 2000 Suzuki GS500 Motorcycle. The bike is for repair or parts only...it is NOT RUNNING. The bike is local pickup only. I will work with a third-party shipper like u-ship but I will not make any shipping arrangements. CLEAN TITLE IN HAND. The bike is not currently running, however it has just received some considerable service and repairs, and simply needs someone to finish the job. The carbs were recently rebuilt, however the bike ran poorly after the rebuild. It may not be the carbs, there may be a vacuum leak or something else like that. Most likely the bike needs to get serviced at the shop, by a qualified technician, and then it will run perfect. The last time I had the carbs serviced at the shop it ran me about $250. With a little TLC, someone with a few bucks and some time/knowledge can turn this bike into a great motorcycle. Note that the pictures do not show the rear fender plastics, however those will come with the bike. The bike has typical wear and tear for a year 2000, however if you look at pictures of other 2000 GS500's on ebay or Craigslist, this one looks to be in very good condition. Flaws: not currently running and somewhat in pieces (the gas tank is off, etc.) probably needs new fork seals and fork oil likely needs a new battery - it has been sitting for quite some time scratched metal headlight bezel cracked plastic around gauge cluster small dent/crease in gas tank scratched/gouged brake fluid reservoir cover fuel cock could use replacing - it works, but the reserve function does not work brakes have been serviced, however not been tested since the bike isn't running some bulbs need replacing. Definitely the gauge bulbs the handlebars are slightly bent from it being knocked over in a parking lot. It is a little awkward, but not bad enough to really notice Pros: Clean Connecticut Title in hand 2 owner bike garage kept adult owned all new carb parts - just need to be redone correctly frame paint touched up exhaust pipes repainted axles lubed tires in okay condition new mirrors new rear brake rotor and pads new brake fluid (may need to be re-bled) completely scrubbed and de-greased new oil and filter relatively new spark plugs brand new rear brake caliper brand new gas tank rubber mounts/bumpers new clutch lever new Suzuki emblems on crankcase new chain within the past 5,000 miles brand new air filter PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING.
