So we have reached that point on this wonderful 1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster. No further price reductions. I will just keep it and pay for storage rather than give it away. CALL 410 353 2274 1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster One of only 1427 produced This 62 has a beautiful color combination of Ford Factory Chestnut Metallic exterior with matching Medium Chestnut Metallic interior, a white convertible top. This wonderful 62 Tbird runs and drives like new, it virtually glides down the road. The Roadster option was only available in 1962 and 63, consisting mainly of the Fiberglass Tonneau Cover and the Chrome Kelsey Hayes real Wire Wheels. Rear fender skirts were not fitted to the Roadster Option because they would fit over the wire wheels. Only 1427 true Roadsters were produced in 1962. This Tbird sports all original sheet metal in the body with no rust or rust repairs anywhere. The floors pans, fenders, rockers, and quarter panels are solid and original. It has been repainted once in its original color. The 390 cu in engine has been redone and runs flawlessly. The transmission and drive train work as you would expect. The interior has been upgraded with new carpeting but all the seats and door panels appear to be original and in good condition. A new radio has been installed, however the original 62 radio goes with the car. While the 1962 Tbird was highly optioned car this 62 has the optional Power Lift Windows and Windshield washers.
