RELISTED DUE TO NONPAYING BIDDER. To the serious folks, here's your chance for a rock-bottom Buy-It-Now price b/c I'm tired of dealing with d-bags on this site. 1984 Buick Grand National 3.8L SFI Turbo T-Top Car. Original car without any power modifications and original paperwork/provenance. Please read entire description. Please see my 100% Positive Feedback, including previous vehicle sales. I will do my best to describe the car as I know her. This car is one of only 2000 Grand Nationals manufactured in 1984. There is some dispute as to how many came with the "CC1" option "Hatch Roof" better known as T-Tops, but it was certainly less than 500. And yes, she still has the correct, original, and now not in the best of shape Trim Code 995 Lear Siegler Leather seats. *** NOTE- Ebay's "Auto Check" flags the title for a discrepency/minor issue. If you read the report further, this is due to the mechanical limits of the odometer being exceeded. THE TITLE IS ABSOLUTELY FREE AND CLEAR. Period! *** Please DO NOT BID if you have less than 90% Positive Feedback, or a Feedback score of less than 10 total transactions unless you contact me first. I reserve the right to cancel your bid if you do not meet the specified criteria. I am fair and honest, and expect the same of the bidder/buyer. Please don't waste my time or yours. Fully optioned original WE2 T-Top car that has seen better days. I purchased this car with the intent to repair/restore, but I have another project ('70 Plymouth) and very little time. She's an original , straight, very low numbers car that deserves to be brought back to her former 'Vette spankin' glory days. Background- The car had been sitting for some time when I bought her. Last state inspection sticker is from 2012, so my guess is that was the last time she was actually on the road. At some point in this Grand National's life, the Turbo Charger went out (bearings), and one of the previous owners attempted to convert the car to a non-turbo engine (why????????) by removing the turbine section of the turbo, drive pipe, down pipe, right side exhaust manifold/header, and y-pipe. Intsalled in their place currently is a standard-N/A exhaust manifold and y-pipe for a non-turbo 3.8, and a "custom" turbo cap from the Lowes plumbing isle to block off the turbine/hot side of the turbo charger. (Please don't shoot the messenger on this one folks...) Believe it or not, the car does actually run with this setup, albeit not that well (shocker). What blew me away after I got her running again is that the Check Engine light isn't on... Go figure. Essentially, I checked then changed the oil, cleaned all the electrical sensors (especially the nasty MAF sensor), added some fresh fuel to the tank with some injector cleaner, and charged the battery. She fired right up (surprisingly.) No knocks or noise from the engine at all. For you zealots, I kept the oil filter that was removed for your scrutiny/inspection, lol. At least the previous owners kept all of the original components to convert her back the way she should be, so YES, ALL ORIGINAL PARTS COME WITH THE CAR to include Down pipe, Complete Turbo Charger, Drive Pipe, Y-Pipe, and R/H turbo header. More importantly, the car has all of its original provenance, to include the following: RPO/Dealer Delivery Sheet (window sticker), owner's manual, warranty booklet with 1984's equivalent of "protect-o-plate" sheet, original purchase order/sales contract, original financing docs, and all GM pamphlets that came on the glovebox. Good stuff! Now for more info- What's missing?- The original donut spare tire/rim, A/C compressor, power antenna, and washer motor, and 3 of the 4 center caps for the wheels. What needs to be repaired to get her on the road now?- The turbocharger, the small coolant hoses on the intake manifold (they leak), the turbo oil return tube (it's crimped/leaks). What about other stuff? - Interior- front seats need to be recovered. Rear seats are passable with cleaning/conditioning. Headliner and sunvisors need replacing. Shifter grip needs replacing. The paint has seen better days. The original driver's power seat brackest were swapped for manual, but all of the components of the power brackets/rails/controls come with the car. Rust issues?- Passenger rear floor pan needs replacing. Passenger front pan has small spot starting, but ok to patch for now. Small hole about the size of a half-dollar located on the front upper section of the passenger rocker panel. Please see pictures. Leaks? Oil from the turbo return line (it's crimped) and coolant from the small rubber hoses on the intake. What's right with her? Body is straight, underside is good, all glass including T-Tops is good, original turbine 15 x 7.5 in wheels in great shape, trans seems fine with no leaks, engine sounds good (you have to feather the gas pedal to keep her running due to vaccum leaks from half the turbo missing, lol), exhaust looks great and doesn't leak. Lights, gauges (including digital boost), heater blower motor, power windows and locks all work as they should. (Windows are slow to go up like any typical Gm G-body.) Trunk area is in great shape, to include the T-Top covers. New In Box Parts that come with this sale- - Correct molded Sand Gray Carpet with Insulation from ACC - New reproduction 3.8L SFI Turbo hood emblems (2) - New reproduction fiberglass molded black bumper fillers for both front and rear bumpers What else comes with her? - Original stereo, rear view mirrors, sun visors, misc hardware, original power seat brackets, controls, and motors. I am a fair and honest seller, and expect the same from all serious interested parties. The title is a clear and open Virginia Title. The car is sold as-is where is. Shipping, pick-up, delivery are all the responsibility of the buyer. As stated, the car runs, but not well. No, you can not drive her home. You will need a trailer, or at least a tow-dolly. Car is also for sale locally, thanks to the d-bag that sabotaged the last ebay listing. I reserve the right to cancel this listing early. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required via PayPal within 48 hours of auction's end. The remaining sales balance is to be paid via cash in person, or via certified/cashier's check within 10 days of purchase. Vehicle to be picked up by buyer or agent within 10 days of purchase. If paying balance by check, the vehicle will only be available for pick up after funds have cleared. No exceptions. No OVERSEAS buyers, to include Alaska and Hawaii. No International Shipping! Only exceptions are to US Military personnel stationed in said locations. I am retired military, and will be happy to work with you. Please feel free to email or call me with any questions. Thanks for looking, and Happy Rodding! 757 927-1582 -Tony
