Vehicle Detail
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false 1963 Buick LeSabre 2 door hardtop, two tone, in my family since new, 51 years. Dad drove it the first year, my Grandma drove it 27 years in Yuma, Arizona, my brother had the car since the 1990’s, now I am the caretaker. Sale includes original literature, Buick service manual, work receipts back to 1991 & copies of old photos. In a carport or garage most of its life. Not a restored car, but a maintained and driven car. I drive the car several days a week to work. We are downsizing & have run out of room. Must go to a good home. Do not turn this car into a donk or low rider. This listing has a low reserve. I have a clear title. Actual mileage unknown due to odometer breaking, which has been replaced with one from a parts car. Car is listed locally, and so I reserve the right to end this auction early in the event of local sale. Body & Interior: Repainted to a high standard in 2003, it still looks very good, but with a few very small nicks. Minor rust was properly repaired in 2003. Floors, trunk, undercarriage are in good shape. Original jack & lug wrench. Headliner & seats redone in 1991 still look good, but have minor wear/imperfections/age spots/yellowing. New carpet and seat belts 2012. NOS tail & back up light lenses. Excellent glass. When painted most rubber seals replaced. Chrome overall is very good with only a few areas of wear, pitting or scratches. Driver’s side mirror is cracked. Rear view mirror is discolored. Retroradio with input & speakers installed 2012. Mechanical: Original 401 Wildcat engine, never rebuilt, runs great. Original Dynaflow transmission rebuilt in 1999. Engine & trans leak a little, typical of a 51-year-old car. In 1991 new shocks, springs, ball joints, control arm bushings, starter, & muffler. In 2011 entire brake system rebuilt, 5 new tires, all filters & fluids, ignition wires, plugs, cap, rotor, Crane Cams electronic ignition, repack front bearings, new hoses & belts, and all rubber fuel lines. In 2012 rebuilt 2 barrel Rochester carb & new coil. In 2014 new battery, water pump and recored radiator. Everything on the car works except: windshield washer, glove box light, trunk light, dome light works but only with dash switch. Starts easily & runs well. 2 years ago I drove the car from Atlanta to Lexington, KY with no problems.Contact: Call me if you have questions – 678-346-0327. Terms: No foreign buyers. Must have positive feedback & rating of at least 10; less than this and I will strike your bid. Sold “as is,” no warranty expressed or implied. Sold “where is” and "local pickup." Buyer must arrange and pay all shipping expenses. I will not ship overseas. Buyer responsible for all taxes, licenses & other fees & charges. I strongly recommend your inspection of this car, at your expense, before auction ends. This is an old car, which is imperfect, and like most old cars, parts will fail from time to time. Seller has no responsibility for damages, failure, or breakage after delivery to buyer or buyer’s shipper. Payment: $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end by Paypal. Balance due cash or bank transfer, U.S. dollars only, within 7 days of close of auction. I will not accept Paypal for balance due. Buyer must pay in full before delivery of car. Winning bidder must contact me within 48 hours of auction end for payment and pickup arrangements. Failure to contact me after auction end and pay as above will result in negative feedback, and I will either sell to the next highest bidder or relist at my discretion.
