Vehicle Detail
For sale we have a previously restored 1967 Jaguar XKE roadster which was burned up in a garage fire. Before the fire this was an original black license plate ( VAL 901 ) California car. After we removed the charcoal and roofing tiles from the interior, we could see the floors have no rust holes the lower seat cushions were once new leather. This is definitely a sad story. All the external sheetmetal is damaged. The engine, transmission, and front cross member numbers all match the data plate. See pics. If a person could afford a new Martin Robey XKE body, a genuine numbers matching 1967 XKE could be built. The other options would be to completely re-skin this body or use the matching components as parts for another project. The engine turns over and shows clean oil on the dipstick. One of the triple carbs will have to be replaced as parts of it melted. The others should be rebuildable. This is a true no reserve auction. High bidder gets the car. We will not sell it before the auction ends. It is the buyers responsibility to pick up the car. We will help with loading. If you are an international buyer there is a freight forwarding company within a mile of our location. We will deliver the car and loose parts to them for crating and shipping. Contact Sea-Pac Transport Service LLC 206-763-0460. These are one of over 50 British cars we are selling off in different conditions. Most are MG, Triumph and Jaguars from 1964 to 1987. We are a licensed Washington State Auto Dismantler. The buyer of this car will receive an Auto Wreckers Bill of Sale. See pictures of this document at end of auction. Reverse shows titling procedures. Items listed by us on eBay are described to the best of our ability, occasionally a defect may be unintentionally overlooked or the customer's interpretation of merchantability may differ from ours. We will offer a replacement or refund if the part is returned to us undamaged. Under no circumstances do we refund shipping in either direction. If you received an item damaged in shipment contact the shipper as everything we send out is insured. If you have zero feedbacks, multiple bid retractions, or you failed to complete a sale after being the winning bidder, contact us before bidding or your bid may be rejected. We had a bad experience with "zero feedback" who bid up well qualified buyers and then re-niged on the sale, requiring us to re-list the item.
