I PURCHASED THIS 1976 CORVETTE FROM A RETIRED MAN IN NEW YORK STATE. The car had been sitting in his garage since 2005, i brought it home, changed the water pump, fan, and fan clutch. it has a newer radiator in it also. got it running and the engine sounds great, has a small cam in it, roller rockers, and an aluminum intake manifold. no leaks, ticks, or knocks. runs very strong. next, the vette had no brakes. i changed the master cylinder and gravity bled the 4 calipers. (i had no help) calipers dont leak, the pedal is a lil spongy tho. i have driven it around the block to ensure it ran ok. engine runs great, trans shifts fine, clutch feels good, and no noises from any of them. the brakes worked to stop me on my test drive. i would bleed them the correct way with some help. tires have alot of tread, brake pads have alot of material, the frame is in good condition other than in front of both rear tires where vettes like these like to go. if it were me, i'd have it repaired instead of replaced. there is a lil rust in the lower part of the rad support also. the rear leaf spring was recently replaced with a better fiberglass one. the interior is all new: dashpad, door panels, carpet, seat covers, shift console, and em brake console are all new. all gauges work with the exception of the tach and the clock. there is an aftermarket pioneer cd player with nice pioneer speakers in the back. i guess im to old to figure it out. i cant even find the power button. lol all the weatherstripping on the car is new. t-tops come in and out as they should. the hood is popped up in my pics. car has some knicks and scratches in the paint, and the drivers side door has a cracked piece in it. i installed a new pass side window motor and regulator also. (see pics) bumpers are in good condition with no cracks, headlights go up and down as they should, and all other lights work as well. also, there is an aftermarket exhaust with headers on the vette. sounds great.
