Up for auction is my 1955 Lincoln Capri 2 door Hardtop. This is a perfect example of a 100% original and COMPLETE 55 Lincoln. These are really hard to find these days and especially one in this condition. The car is 99.9% RUST FREE, with the only small rust hole being on the passenger front bottom fender about the size of a quarter. The only other item that will need replacing is the original battery box, mostly likely due to battery acid and or rust. ALL VERY minor fixes. All floors are solid and body is rust free. Car is bone stock and is all there, stock y block and transmission that ran last time it was parked by previous owner. I have not tried starting it so cannot claim that it is a running car at this time. Motor is all stock and complete. Interior is also complete, only thing missing is the carpet. That is good though as you can clearly see that there is no rust on any of the floor pans....The original POWER leather seats are intact but show their age, will have to be redone in order to be show quality. Car has POWER WINDOWS, STEERING, and BRAKES. Dash is in amazing shape and is also COMPLETE. All buttons still have great shine and everything looks very presentable. The headliner is complete without any tears or issues outside of just being dirty. The Body is extremely straight with just a minor dent on the passenger side rear lower fender and by rear bumper. The rest of the body is extremely straight and was even able to get some nice shine out of the original paint! The rear trunk lid will need new hinges which I already purchased and will come with the car ready to be installed along with a whole new trunk latch. The stainless trim is one of the nicest I have seen! I would say 90% of it is straight and very shiny! I am missing the 2 long lower rocker trim pieces and a small piece behind the skirt on passenger side. The dent mentioned above put a dent on the long gravel shield on passenger side but nothing that cannot be fixed. All the glass is there and in amazing condition, with the exception of the front windshield which is cracked. I purchased a new one from another 55 Lincoln and is included in the purchase and will need to be installed. Windshield is in a custom wood crate ready to be transported...so keep that in mind that this will have to have room on trailer or truck. Chassis shows normal wear for its age but can be used as is as it is in great shape with no rust issues at all. Tires hold air and are in great shape. Hubcaps are original and are driver quality with a few small imperfections which can be fixed.
