I'm selling my Contemporary Cobra ater 30+ years. I can't believe it. I just don't have the room. It's the best drivng Cobra I own. As a matter of FACT it's the best driving cobra I've ever driven and I've driven lots of them. We have had it to lots of car shows and runs with friends. It always takes home the trophies and has never let us down. I'm keeping the others because they have CSX numbers. I think your looking at the best buy for the money in a Cobra. Contemporary Cobra's have always been considered one of the best and this one is at the top of the list. Bodys is Fiberglass. It was originally hand layed and gel-coated black. Your looking at the original finish 32 years later. Gel-coat is much stronger than paint. It is completely finished top and bottom. Look close under hood and deck lid pictures. Interior is the original Connelly Leather, with Wilton Carpet. Gauges are real Smiths and they all work great. Trunk is big with Matching pin-drive spare and tool box. Contemporary Cobra's are famous for big trunks and large foot wells. they are comfortable. Look close at pictures of suspension it is very trick. I could fill the whole page on suspension. I will stop at it handles better and rides nicer than any other I've driven. Call if you want to go over it. Knock offs are Halibrandt and Polished Trigo wheels. Trans is polished Doug Nash 5 speed. The Engine is not for the faint at heart. 428 Fe base block from GT-500. Stroked to 462 inches. Complete Roller with nothing but the best.. JE piston at 10:1 and the Edelbrock Heads are painted to look Stock. When you show up every one will know you have lots of Horse Power and it runs on pump gas. North of 600 HP and real dependable.
