This 1994 ST1100 is the highly desirable ABS/TCS version. It runs perfectly and has been well-maintained by a middle-aged owner and his friends who are highly finicky. The motorcycle was flawless on my 11,000 mile trip from NJ to AK and back - I would not hesitate to use this bike again for similar long-distance adventures. I am selling it to make garage space for my newest passion, vintage cars. The motorcycle has 122,588 miles on the chassis. The engine was replaced by the previous owner at 92,000 miles with a 2001 unit that had 28,000 miles, so the current mileage on this engine is 58,588. The original engine was replaced because it had begun to slip out of second gear into neutral. I can attest that its current engine runs beautifully and there are no lingering mechanical issues. Those familiar with these exceptionally reliable motorcycles will not be put-off by the mileage figures on the chassis and engine - these bikes are legend for their faithfulness and ability to run forever. In addition to a lower-mileage engine, Cognoscenti will also appreciate that the alternator is the upgraded 40 amp air-cooled unit standard to ST1100s from 1996-2001, allowing reliable use of heated gear. The internal part of the alternator was included with the used engine, so the external part was purchased new and added during the installation. The bike fell over on my AK trip, but the wing did it’s job - no other damage/scratches/dings resulted from my mistake. There is also a small piece of plastic missing on the right side where the upper cowl meets the middle cowl - I don’t know how this happened, but there it is. This is a well-loved motorcycle that needs a new home. Please, local pick-ups only - I don’t have the where-with-all to ship it.
