They have the least wind buffeting of any drop-top I've ever driven and the articulated geometry of the roof bows seals the top to the rear deck with no unsightly latches. The result is an uninterrupted and completely smooth top-down appearance . . . Great tires and stunning fiberglass condition . . . A '99 Corvette can generate over .90g on a skid pad and leap to 60 MPH in 5 seconds. This particular car has the optional 3.15 performance rear axle. Nail it from a standstill with the traction control off breaks the rear end loose and it easily chirps second . . . Seams and panel alignment are superb on this no hit/no accident gem . . . After driving literally hundreds of C5 Corvettes, I can tell you they are nearly bullet proof. The few with miles this low and this well taken care of however, are in a class all their own. Barring some catastrophic life event, I'm also convinced it is impossible to be in a sour mood driving this car with the top down. The Bose audio sounds killer, the air conditioner blows cold and the sport seats are awesome. I love how the LS1 can idle so quietly and then become unbelievably vicious in an instant. A throttle stab at any speed produces a savage roar and blistering acceleration. This car has been an absolute joy and my wife and I have especially liked cruising at night with the moon and stars overhead. I have to say; pretty dang fun in a car this sweet . . .
